I always wondered why people in the Greater Binghamton area would pick Olive Garden when there are some of the best Italian restaurants in the state over the river in Endicott. But I had been given a gift-card a while back and we decided to try the curb side pickup. We went with the 'Asiago Tortelloni Alfredo with Grilled Chicken', the 'Stuffed Ziti Fritta' and a large order of their "famous bread sticks" with the 'five cheese marinara'.
As a whole, everything was ok. Nothing was bad. That being said, the chicken had no flavor. Like at all, just texture. A simple marinade would have done so much and is the first obvious difference between local and mass produced. The Asiago 'tortelloni' themselves were ok as well. Pretty covered with a thick, very simple Alfredo sauce. Very cheesy and I can see how one order is over two THOUSAND calories. That being said, two of us couldn't finish it, but the 'to-go' container slid right in the fridge. The 'Ziti Fritta' (deep fried cheese stuffed ziti) were pretty good and probably could have been a meal on their own. Not a ton of flavor, but the dipping sauces added something extra. The bread sticks were nice. Warm and buttery, but I'd rather have the fresh bread that some local places give out. Didn't care much for the '5 cheese marinara', but had enough traditional marinara and Alfredo sauce that I thought worked better. Overall I think I ate a weeks worth of calories for dinner, but was hungry a couple hours later for anything but cheese and carbs.
Overall OK. Curb side pickup was easy with a smart phone, but not sure how it would work with out one. Person who delivered out to the car was very friendly and checked my car to confirm my name when he came out with the car over's order. Food was bland but unoffensive. Boring and unseasoned, but that's exactly what some want. I can think of five places just over the river in Endicott that would be much better options if you're looking for flavor with your pasta.

Read moreWas sat promptly. No wait. The restaurant was not busy. The server came over after we were sat for a while. She said she forgot our table was in her section. We laughed it off. Service was very slow. The server took our drink orders. We waited over 10 minutes for our drinks. We asked for a special salad she brought a regular salad. As I didn't want olives or tomatoes in the salad. After bringing the salad I asked for extra peppers that never came. After bringing the salad we were ready to order she told us to wait so she can go get our drinks. At one point we requested another server then said forget it because it had seem to be an issue. So we stuck with the poor service. James the manager didn't even bother to stop and check on our table. However we seen him greet and stop at every other table around us. Received our food. I asked for cayenne seasoning on the side. Had to remind her after bringing our food out. We weren't checked on throughout our meal. Both our drinks were empty. I ended up having to order another drink and my desert on the machine that was on the table. On my way out I asked to speak to a manager which James the same manager who was walking to every table but ours came up. I expressed my issues and how he didn't bother to stop and check on our table knowing there was an issue as he admitted her heard we wanted another server. His response was he seen me and my friend laughing he though everything was OK. I expressed to him that was us enjoying each other's company. Never once offered up an apology. All he said was thank you for brining that to my attention. At that I point I felt it was a race thing as bad as i didn't want to. We received poor service. He was aware of it. I brought it to his attention and couldn't even get a simple apology. Horrible manager and...
Read moreThe food tastes good but DO NOT get the seafood Alfredo. It may just be the Alfredo sauce in general but as soon as I ate half of my meal I started to feel off. Got half way home in a thunderstorm and my girlfriend asked if I needed to pull over to hop over the guardrail and lay waste to the trees. I said no and kept driving. I made it home just in time to run to the bathroom and explode liquid pee from my back hole.
I’m currently on the toilet writing this the next day 20 minutes after finishing the leftovers and 5 minutes after having another breadstick with Alfredo sauce. I just ate some tums to try to quench the poop eruption in my nethers and finally have some time to focus with subsided pain. We paid 120$ for 3 people and I asked for extra Alfredo sauce with my meal and they charged me for “unlimited” then said I could only take one bowl with me when I left to bring with extra breadsticks which I also got charged for even though we had u limited breadsticks with our meals. 7$ for breadsticks and 6$ for enough Alfredo for 2 out of 12 breadsticks. I remember when sauce and breadsticks were free. The portions are much smaller now too. 23$ for a small bowl of pasta and bad shrimp? Plus 13 for breadsticks plus 4 for a drink. So 40 dollars for a mediocre meal that made me sick every time I tried to eat it. Not to mention the literal inch pool of oil I had to pour off even after reheating and mixing the whole meal. Which makes for a combination of bad seafood and cheese that has all the oil to clog and at the same time infect and slide your bowels out your bum...
