Iām sorry this is so long but please read it. You wonāt believe it!!!! I just do not know where to begin with the non-professionalism of this salon and the owner Sherette Parker. First off, I tried this salon because my daughter had gone once or twice and seemed happy. She is 26 years old. I am in my Fifties and I guess after living on Long Island for several years before returning back to the Binghamton area I have experienced very good professional salons. I understand this is not a major metropolitan area, but I honestly am shocked at my experience here. I am blonde, and came in for root touch up. Ya know to Color the roots to match the blonde n the rest of my hair. VERY COMMON PROCEDURE Well they only lightened my roots until they were rather brassy. MY HAIR IS LIGHT PLATINUM BLONDE. I mean I have gone to Cost Cutters before and they were able to lighten my roots to match my blonde locks even. So yes I was very unhappy, but they told me if I come back in 5 weeks it should be soon enough to get my roots blonde again??? Yes I was at this point shocked knowing they charged me $230 for this visit. AFTER 4 FULL HOURS!!! What did they do for 4 hours you might wonder??? AND when I was checking out they had a nice pretty baG waiting for me with $140 worth of 12 oz hair products I could have gotten anywhere. I absolutely told them no thank you I was not buying them. Then my daughter walked in unexpectedly and just insisted I needed these products as they had brain washed her apparently, so my daughter insisted to buy these products for me as a Christmas gift. Now you think this would have been enough. No. I actually returned back after 5 weeks to give them a second chance. and I was running about 15 minutes behind schedule and I spoke to the salon to let them know. I live in Vestal about 5 minutes away. I had an issue come up with work last minute. I told them Iād be right down. ( now Iām figuring they kept me for 4 hours before, for what? So what is 15 minutes right?) Well, I get there and am treated so rudely by the one blonde girl there that dresses like she is a Kardashian going to a fashion show. (Amusing) but I donāt take wellbeing treated rudely when Iām spending $200 a shot for (now Iām afraid will it be 4 hours again?) I exchange words with this young lady about how she should remember who is the customer and who is the service supplier, even if I was 15 minutes late, I did rationalize my last episode there that was 4 hours.
Let me cut to the chase here. So I walked out. Because I refused to be treated rudely by a salon that is over charging and keeping patrons for 4 hours, and wasnāt able to even get my roots blonde to match my hair (the roots were brassy) I left. And then called the owner to let her know my experience. Here is the real shocker.......AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE OWNER SHE CALLED MY DAUGHTER WITH IN 5 MINUTES AND TOLD HER THAT ALTHOUGH I WAS NOT GOING TO BE A CUSTOMER THAT THEY STILL WOULD ALLOW HER TO COME!!!! My daughter calls me all upset because they have convinced her to be a salontrend model and use her Facebook for advertising. I KNOW. THIS ALL SEEMS UNBELIEVABLE. Well since that day they started an argument between myself and my daughter and we no longer speak. Yes. They did this. TO TOP IT ALL OFF MY DAUGHTER TELLS THEM (in order to keep them as her salon and be a salontrend model) THAT HER MOTHER HAS PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS!!!!!
DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH WHAT THESE PEOPLE ARE CAPABLE OF. ITS NOT WORTH IT. TRUST ME THEIR PLAN AND āMIRACLEā TREATMENT IS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT ANY LOCAL SALON WILL CHARGE AND THEY PRETEND TO HAVE SOME SPECIAL TREATMENT. ITS FALSE. IN FACT IT IS A SCAM TO GET YOU TO COME BACK MORE OFTEN LIKE EVERY 5 WEEKS TO ROB YOU.
BTW. THE OWNER WORKED AND TRAINED AT COST CUTTERS.BEFORE OPENING HER SALON. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST GO TO COST CUTTERS OR ANY SALON THAT CAN DO BLONDE HIGHLIGHTS IT IS NOT A MIRACLE AND IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.
My hair is back to normal at 1/2 the cost and took 1 1/2 hours total....

I understand that the process took time, but the results are undeniable. The quality of my hair and the care Iāve received has been beyond worth the investment. Now, when I step into shoots and events, I walk in with real confidence, knowing my hair is in the best possible condition. Thank you again for everything, for being not only a talented stylist but also for your genuine kindness and dedication to my hairās health and beauty. My first experience at SalonTREND was top-notch. To start, the energy between the staff members and within in the salon was contagious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Immediately upon entering, it was obvious that everyone at SalonTREND is a happy little family.
Now, onto Cole š
After seeing pictures of Coleās work on social media, there was no doubt that I needed him to work his magic on my hair. I was not at all surprised to see Cole as the same genuine, bubbly, high-energy guy I went to high school with. On top of his infectious personality, Coleās passion for his work, his knowledge, and his creativity SHINED through from start to finish. He offered his creative input and opinion, while also remaining mindful and considerate of my thoughts/wishes. As a client, it was truly an incredible experience to feel like I was just as big a part of the process as Cole. Cole was honest and up front with me about the upkeep I would be facing, given the somewhat drastic change in look I was going for. His professionalism was something I both appreciated and admired.
The process took nearly four hours (which was to be expected), yet the time absolutely flew. Cole and I (and the other staff) talked and laughed. I felt so welcomed into the SalonTREND family atmosphere. As someone who is admittedly āhigh-anxietyā and who tends to dread appointments of any kind, I have to say ā I cannot wait to be back in Coleās chair!! He has earned himself a forever client.
I should mention that Cole absolutely NAILED the look I was going for. I quite literally was left speechless. Cole is a true hair artist.
Needless to say, book your appointment with Cole Teed ASAP ā he (& SalonTREND) will NOT disappoint. I could not be happier with my experience and results.
