Otto Tomotto’s has been recommended to us by a few family members, so we were looking forward to trying it. The atmosphere was lovely, the people were nice, and the food was good. I did also like the amount of options on the menu. The food was a little pricey though, so I don’t know if I would recommend it over my other local favorites like Prosseco. The big plus is that they have a more family centric restaurant with a party room. First, the food was good. My wife tried the Tortellini Pomodoro, which was delicious. I would absolutely recommend trying it if you like very thick, creamy pasta. I ordered the special intending to give that a review, but unfortunately they ā€œliterally just sold the last oneā€ after I ordered it. Which was honestly very disappointing considering we were there at 6:30. The waiter recommended the Italian Fish Fry because it was similar, but fish instead of chicken. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it. It was extremely one note. The fish was pan fried and intended to be crispy, but it was soggy after sitting in the lemon butter sauce, which would be fine, if the sauce wasn’t basically lemon juice. All I tasted the entire time I ate was lemon juice. I didn’t taste any other flavors, just lemon. If I hadn’t eaten some of the pomodoro my wife ordered I would have given the food 2 stars. We did try the cannolis, which we usually try at most Italian restaurants. And we did enjoy them. I felt they were worth the $7 for 2. Unfortunately, I can’t review the salad because despite ordering it before our meal we never got it. It was only $2.50 for an add on salad, but we were disappointed that we had to let the waiter know we never received it. I do want to mention that they do serve bread and it’s a nice Italian bread with a garlic butter that we did enjoy. The atmosphere was comfortable. I liked the decor, but I don’t like restaurants that use paper to protect their table cloths. That’s just a personal preference. Overall, I might give Otto tomotto’s another try sometime in the future, but it wasn’t my favorite place.

Otto Tomotto's Shrimp and Bacon Risotto is a delicious and inventive dish that is sure to please any seafood lover. The portion size is generous, providing a satisfying meal without feeling heavy. The risotto has a rich and creamy texture that is spot on. The Arborio rice is cooked to perfection, and offered just the right amount of bite while still being creamy and smooth. The addition of shrimp brings a delightful seafood taste to the dish, with each piece cooked to perfection. Bacon adds a smoky and savory element that complements the seafood flavors surprisingly well. The combination of these ingredients creates a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving more. The dish has a subtle hint of garlic and herbs, enhancing the overall taste without overpowering the delicate flavors of the shrimp and bacon. It was evident that the chef paid attention to every detail, resulting in a dish that was thoughtfully crafted.

We had the complimentary bread, ordered the calamari and two bolognese dishes (one red sauce and one Rosa sauce). The bread was alright but seems like it had been sitting for a while.. the calamari was chewy and lukewarm as well.. and both of our pasta dishes had an abnormally EXCESSIVE amount of cheese on them (see the photos). Eventually I added chilli flakes and took off as much cheese I could from my red sauce dish - this tasted SO much better! So the sauces were fine, but the cheese just overpowered the dish. That being said, although the portions were a good size, for the flavours and the quality of the dishes it really shouldn't be so expensive... Overall, an "okay" experience. I must say the staff were very friendly and gave us great service. Thank you for your service :)

We have been here several times before and the service and the food was always excellent. We just went tonight for a 50th anniversary celebration, and it was so different than it’s ever been before and definitely lacking in both departments.

We made reservations five days in advance, however it probably was not necessary as the restaurant was fairly empty in comparison to past visits.

Part of our party arrived earlier and while at the bar noticed that the soda was really sweet and there was no carbonation. They mentioned this to the server/bartender and she said that’s just the way it was.

When we were sat we were told that our server had been triple sat and we were sympathetic and said we understood, take your time and all that. While we waited, two glasses of water were brought for our party of seven, with only one or two ice cubes in each glass, and the water was lukewarm. When our server eventually made it back to us we ordered more water for the rest of the table and we asked for more ice. More waters were brought and there was almost no ice in those as well. We asked again for more ice and one cup of ice was brought around the middle of the meal. We also asked about the soda again and told them that it was just syrup and no carbonation and she just said there was nothing they could do- it was just odd that there was no offer of fixing the CO2 or anything to replace these drinks.

The appetizers came out pretty quickly after ordering and were ok, calamari was really chewy- not how it usually is there.

Kids cheeseburger was over cooked and rock hard. Our kid took a small bite and had a tough time swallowing it down. This was brought to our servers attention and removed from the bill.

Seafood in the pasta was kind of hard and over cooked, however the flavor of the sauce was good. Steaks were good. Bread was good. The server did bring wrapped cookies an extra which was nice.

It was about 45 min from the time we sat until we ordered our meals. Big gaps between check ins from the server. Our server (who was also initially behind the bar when we arrived) was stretched thin, you could tell she was just not getting the help she needed which in turn made her short with people. I worked in the service industry for well over a decade and I am very lenient and understanding when it comes to certain things, but also know good service and dining, and this was not it. Super disappointed and will not be back...

My family & I dined in at Otto Tomato’s this summer and it was underwhelming to say the least. Immediately upon arrival, we waited for 10 minutes to be seated even while having a reservation. There were numerous tables open and there were several staff members standing at the bar waiting on no one and yet we were not seated. Finally, after being seated, we sat down at a table with oversized paper that was in place of a table cloth which personally I find that extremely cheesy and was getting in the way of my family members as they were trying to eat their meals. We waited for another 10 minutes for our waitress to approach us. Again, there were few patrons at the restaurant and many other staff members milling around. Brian, a staff member, proved to only make the experience worse. Despite him being the, ā€œmanager,ā€ and promising us to ā€œhelp if we needed anything,ā€ he did not appear to be doing much at all especially when we were in need of something as little as water. Additionally, he detracted from the experience due to his obnoxious demeanor. Now for the food, very disappointing. My mom and I had the Shrimp and Bacon Risotto. The pieces of bacon were half-cooked and fatty making them inedible. My brother’s ā€œSeafood mac and cheeseā€ was not mac and cheese. It was a pasta with pink sauce, little crab, and was not baked like a proper mac and cheese should be. My dads, Cavitelli pasta with sausage and peppers was drowned in sauce. The pasta to sauce ratio was completely off. Lastly, the prices were outrageous for the quality and quantity of food. The prices at the restaurant were $5+ more than what they were listed online on their website. This is unacceptable, especially in these hard economic times. Overall, our experience was subpar and we will not be returning, nor would we recommend this restaurant to anyone...
