I visited this establishment on the morning of Thursday October 19, 2023. I attempted to open the door to enter the bakery. I was unable to pull the door open. As a starter to return to my car someone from inside scream loudly that the door is open and the lights are on and I’m behind the counter. What is wrong with you people everyone complains that the door sticks and they must be stupid because they don’t realize that we are open. I told her that the door was very difficult to open. I am almost most 69 years old by anyone would have difficulty opening the door to the bakery. The person working there behind the counter a young female said how old are you? Are you too weak to open the door what is wrong with you. I started looking at the various baked goods they had on the rocks, and she continued to banter me. I told her that I was good and obviously Carmines does not need my business so I left without purchasing anything. Why on earth do they have this lady working there? Cannot they find anyone else who is willing to work there? Is that what they pride themselves on regarding customer service? Believe me I will never go there again and will never recommend that...
Read moreFirst time there. Presentation..u want to eat it all. The reality I woukdn't again. In addition to the bakery items we got 2 bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches on a roll, the roll was stale. Coffee was ok. The pastries are stale. The cream on the lobster tail has a hardness on it that tells it is stale, also the strawberry sticks, look at the inside, it is not fresh at all. The b& w cookie the worst. The Napoleon, the cream was just like the lobster tail. The woman behind the counter was working, she was moving, not overly pleasant but she was keeping up. There was a line out the door, a older white haired man was in the back on his phone just standing around. Who was he..the owner??? Don't know but he could have pitched in seeing how busy they were. Even if he asked people what they wanted, put the items in a box & she could just ring it up. If I lived closer I would bring the pastries back. I do not recommend this place. They are a staple in the community & prob the only bakery for miles that is why they survive. Bye...

The clerk an eldely woman, didn't greet me, she greeted everyone else, she didn't want to serve me eventhou the 4 four men before me, asked her to seve me first. She asked all of them what they wanted, and insisted on serving them first, they were white. After serving all of them, she finally asked me what I wanted, after the men kept telling her to serve me first. The men must have felt that she was ignoring me.
