I have been telling Chocolate nails for the longest that they have too much of a space between the base of the nail and the cuticle. All of this nonsense started happening after covid. Nobody used to do nails that bad before until covid now they all do it. They never want to put the acrylic next to your cuticle. They only separate the base of the nail from the cuticle because it's already starting the process for the need of a filling. I would not go back to any place where I just got my nails done and have to go right back anyway. During covid I learned how to do my own nails because I am not paying anybody for a job that they have messed up. The lady in the photos with the pink, her nails look like she's going in there for a fillin. How do your nails look just as bad or worse after you get them done. They cannot shape nails and the girl with the white French although the cuticle part is correct, her nails are crooked, too short, especially for French cut nails. You tell these people these things so that they can better themselves, but they have the most arrogant attitudes. I believe that the government needs to do more about places, especially Asian nail shops who want to make it seem like the customer is the problem when it's them. I've even seen some of their places where they have attacked customers who were clearly not satisfied with the level of treatment they received at some shops and the way their nails turned out, all messed up and they want you to pay for it. I'm not paying for messed up nails and I wish somebody would put their hand on me, it will be the last they do. Also, some know that they close at a certain time and will force you in, but when it's over they want to leave and want to rush you out knowing your nails and your feet are not dry and they don't want you to come back the next day because they pushed you out for them to redo your nails. They get away with so much and people make comments and don't understand what is actually going on. It's ridiculous. They should also have a no-star policy. This place actually deserves no stars. They got rid of their best pedicure guy. Actually, I was told he retired and that was the last time I ever went there. They would do my feet but they could not ever do my nails for they do not know anything about shaping applying acrylic properly. These places cost too much for you to...
Read moreThe male technician took me right away and he did a good job on my feet. My issue is with his rude comments and overt disdain towards doing his job. I did not get his name. He was the only chubby one working there and wearing glasses. He seemed to have a bias towards women of color that does not belong in this type of service industry. He made a comment that I had not had a pedicure for a loonnnggg time, which was true, but he made me feel self-conscious.. He jabbed aggressively at my legs anytime he wanted me to move them Ironically, while doing my leg massage, he took time to bid farewell to two Caucasian women who were leaving. They were not his customers. They were engaged in conversation and did not seem to hear him.. As soon as it was time for me to go to the dryer, he hovered over me as I sat down and asked me to pay. I handed him a card, but I also asked him to break a bill. He hovered over me for a tip. I became annoyed with his behavior and I told him I would give it to him on my way out Quite frankly, I needed time to debate whether I was going to tip him. I reconciled that he did a good job on my feet and I was pleased with how they looked. However, I immediately regretted my decision when he snatched the tip out if my hand and did not even say thank you or have a nice day. I will never return to this location. Instead of leaving feeling pampered, I left feeling like I let someone treat...
Read moreI walked in I was given a list of prices for the mani/pedi for gel. I sat down in the massage chair and it was filthy. Against my better judgement I stayed. I should have ran out of there. They have me a laminated sheet with the prices of pedicures. The one I wanted was 39.00. When I told the employee that she was rude and began to speak to her co-worker in their language. Clearly she was NOT happy. She then changes the price for gel and tells me it would be 43. I informed her I would just get regular polish. I opted to get gel on my finger nails. The place was filthy. They didn't even clean the nail equipment. The gel machines were covered with filth. O kept my nails off the bottom of the machine the entire time. I asked for a Christmas tree and a candy cane. It was so horrible looking I had to have her change it. There was nail polish all over my hands from carelessness. When I was given the bill both prices had changed and I was charged 73 dollars. The nail polish on my toes had smeared before I even walked out. A day later the gel nail polish chipped. I will never go back there. You would think cleanliness would be a priority. Not in the place. Horrible experience!!! Waste of my money! Didn't last one day before gel on my finger nails chipped. Do NOT go there unless you like filthy dirty uncleaned nail clippers, gel dryers, nail files etc. Place is a hole...
