So, we decided to give this new place a try. Since this is an informative and deep dive into what happened, I decided to itemize: The quality of the fish is very good The rice preparation is good, what you expect. The appetizers were good, I especially enjoyed the fried scallops. The noodles we ordered did not feel like steer fry, and the ratio between noodles and beef, or shrimp was not what we expect, a full plate of noodles and like 5 pieces of shrimp, you do the math. And guess what - This is where the good part of the experience ends. Service. In all you can eat, they sometime "forget" what you ordered, hoping that you will not know what you have, they want to save on some of the pricier fish items - you can never know for sure, but what we DO know, we had to remind them 3 times about items they forgot to bring out. Spicy Mayo - it's so weird - The way some restaurants treat it like it is gold, it was so hard to get extra, we had to ask numerous times. Service in general was very spotty, they were only like 3 other tables there, yet it was not easy to get their attention. And now for the grand finale - (drum roll) When we put in a final order of a few pieces, the server mumbled something about a 1.5 hour time limit. We do not recall seeing this on the menu or the website, and no one told us that when we sat down. After we expressed this (in no uncertain terms), the order came, and this left a bitter taste, overshadowing the fish taste (which again - was actually very good). Bottom line, some improvements need to be done here. and we may consider coming...
Read moreBeen going here for quite some time and it's been fine. Except for today, will not be going back here anymore. Food is OK, nothing to write home about, but the price is fair with the AYCE. The customer service is OK, but today the boss lady took it to another level with her rudeness and unprofessional attitude. We always spend a good amount of money and this place is also my son's favorite apt to eat. Towards the end we had some food left and she had mentioned that there was a few to take left over home, which was fine and we said ok. We also ordered something to go storage from the fee for the left overs. I asked for a container, stated to put the stuff in and she comes running over and rudely said that YOU CANNOT TAKE THAT HOME, IT'S AN EXTRA CHARGE. at the point I was confused and told her we said it was OK for you to charge us and she said, NO I didn't charge you cause the last you're with said no. Which was a lie because that was my mother and she never said anything, I was the one who spoke to her. So after today, I will never go here again and i will make damn sure I tell my friend and family to stay away. If this lady WAS the owner which I highly doubt, I would definitely like to speak to who ever IS the real owner. Very disappointed at this place. Better food and...
Read moreStunned that this place has such good reviews. I suspect most of the reviews are fake or from people who have never had a decent piece of fish in their lives. No one’s expecting Nobu for $30 AYCE, but this was probably the worst sushi experience I’ve ever had, even for an AYCE. Here’s why:
very low quality fish, and not fresh at all. I sent back some of the tuna bc it wasn’t clearly foul. The yellowtail was better
hard, cold rice with too much vinegar
rice is overpacked in nigiri pieces in an attempt to fill you up. The pieces of fish on top are very small but there is a ton of rice underneath
as mentioned by others, the wait to get your food is inexcusable. I was there late when there were 2 other tables being served, then they left and I was the only one. It took 1:20 from start to finish. That is insane. I suspect they may do this so you fill up in between/order less. There were hardly any customers so it wasn’t like they were struggling to keep up with demand.
like another reviewer mentioned, they ‘forget’ some items
Hate writing bad reviews for small businesses, but this one needs some very big...
