I walked into the restaurant and was surprised to be greeted by very young children—none of whom seemed older than 10. They took my order, which was quite simple: three sushi rolls. I sat down and waited, but it ended up taking over 40 minutes for the food to be prepared.
I understand that they’re a popular spot and may have been busy, but not once did anyone acknowledge or apologize for the long wait. Meanwhile, the kids who took my order were off playing video games, and the adults were in the back having lunch. I was absolutely starving, and the lack of communication or basic customer service made the experience worse.
By the time I got my food, I was so lightheaded from not eating all day that I had to sit in the parking lot for another 15 minutes before I felt okay to drive. In total, it took 55 minutes just to pick up a simple lunch.
