Might have just found my new favorite place to eat/order takeout! I've only ordered 3 times so far, but what I have eaten has clearly all been homemade, besides fantastic! If I lived closer I would definitely like to stay for food and drinks(something you don't see an option to have with most pizza shops). I will update my stars for service/food when I experience more visits. So far everyone(except one person), has not only been knowledgeable and friendly, but went above and beyond to accommodate me...including their chef and one server in particular whom made my second visit literally a "make or break" experience - Thank You So Much Again :) ... The pizza is classic NY style, so yummy, AND they also have some unique types that I Promise you will not see anywhere else in Upstate NY, imo. The Alfredo sauce is made to order and delicious! It might even be as good as mine ;) . I am a chef myself and grew up working in every different type of Hospitality business you can think of. The name is what first caught my eye when driving in that area for the first time, I Absolutely Love It! Amosphere is welcoming and you can tell locals and staff are not only on a first name basis, but the type of place/service we all miss and experience less and less of sadly not too far before COVID-19. I drive a route past the establishment at least 5 days a week hope I become one of their many familiar faces. :) It's very hard to eat while on the road, let alone finally eating a meal that felt like it was "home cooked," and left me feeling like my body finally got the much needed food/feeling I was lacking due to eating on the run all the time. All while paying too much for items' at other places that are constantly lacking in quality (even if prices weren't inflated), and wasting my money because I don't eat it or it doesn't "hit the spot." Their prices are very, very acceptable with big portions to coincide. I didn't have time to inquire if there are any Gluten Free pizza's or options(my Fiance has Celiac's)...Sorry for the long review... I believe good places deserve long winded explanations as well. Places where people have negative experiences' frequently get a whole page dedicated to picking apart every aspect of an establishment. I wanted to make sure to give my positive explanation of different aspects of this place that I have experience in just...
Read moreSo this is one of the few reviews where my "negative" is really a positive so let's get started.
The people: They are extremely friendly and helpful and willing to make suggestions (when asked) when you cant quite decide what to get. They work well and fast under pressure and still have that friendly attitude.
The food: Let me start by saying: I would contemplate doing illegal things for the Bang Bang sauce. Their pizza is top notch and the Bang Bang sauce is amazing. The only negative is that some of the new stuff isn't great BUT to have a place that is willing to experiment is Awesome!. I will gladly try some food that I don't like for the chance to try new things. The best part about this place is they rarely miss the mark with their experiments.
Overall its a 5 star place. Good food, good people, and...
Read moreThe ordering process is fairly simplistic, but the execution is not smooth. Dully understanding that this is a small town local pizza shop that at this point only offers pickup or delivery only. You have to call 1 number to order and another different number to notify the pizzeria when you've arrived. After trying their order number for 30 minutes and getting a mixture of busy signals or the numbet doesn't work we drove down to see if we can order in person which we were told with attitude no call the number.
Attitude aside the pizza is actually very good. The sauce that is on the pie is not acidic, the lumberjack is a meat eater's dream come true. If the ordering process weren't ridiculous I would have gotten pizza here more than once during my recent visit...
