Cohen's Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Wawarsing

I went 3 different times hoping I'd get to see maybe cook had bad day and the pastries look very nice.... I had went there years ago and the baked goods were quite good especially the breads. Now it looks very appealing... but That's all. The lunch I ordered was barely mediocre... It was not fresh.. bland made with no heart and over priced. For these prices it id reasonable to expect at least good. It was terrible. The servers are nice. And when I called to complain... wouldn't let me get a word in... The m anager wasn't in... etc. 43 bucks on a soup a sandwich and 1 cheese Danish? They have to be kidding. But they are not. And for 40 plus bucks in Ellenville NY? It ought be a really good. I gave a few chances. Third time was enough and unless they seriously change, I won't be back. I can't be alone but the place is busy that's puzzling. People go there for a blast from the past and are clinging on... I'd enjoy that too but it's not good and priced as though they are... but mediocre at best. They make it LOOK good. The food is pretty much lousy. I feel badly to write this but so expensive for a drop in Cafe for locals... idk it really got under my skin. I'm sorry but the baked goods...

So I just left this restaurant, and if I could give them zero stars I truly would ! ! The way I was just treated via the owner was atrocious ! I had waited 40 minutes for two orders of French toast & when it came , it was incorrect as far as the quantity . & so I was concerned if it would be resolved in a timely manner so I can eat with my child & family . So I expressed that & instead of being understanding & accommodating . I was given a disgusting attitude via the owner . I decided to take the one order and leave anything else ; far as drinks & pastries I also ordered . This interaction was not only insulting , but as a first time customer I will never return . Oh and to make matters worst I am pregnant . Thank you to Kev , whom is her son ; who came to apologize on his mothers behalf . If you cannot work under pressure and treat all demographics with the same respect & customer service skills as paying patrons . I would highly suggest you don’t own a business . Please do better , as I’m hearing this is a regular...

NO STARS!!!! Went to get a wedding cake made for my wedding. Ordered it almost two months before the date. When my husband and I went to pick the cake up at the time they gave us to come, the cake was not made. The day before our wedding and no cake?!? They insisted they had no record of my placing the order and paying for it. But when i showed them the handwriting recite from the manager/owner that discussed the details of the cake, the story changed to “they had it in the back but it wasn’t done.” Made them drive the cake to me almost and hour and a half drive to our wedding venue and it was finally delivered at 7:10 pm the night before my wedding day. The most stressful thing ever! Then they tried to say that we didn’t finish paying for the cake and still owed them money. How ridiculous. That was in September 2019 and I have never been...
