Flying Goose Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Wawarsing

We were referred to this place from a friend who had only heard about it. On our way back from a hike, we decided to stop and give it a shot! We are so glad we did! What a great place! It has only been open for a few months, so it is still pretty quiet. But I have no doubt it will become a local Hotspot in no time. They had a local food truck, Samosa Shack, in the kitchen for some vegan bites. Really good food!! The chef was kind enough to run through the menu with us so we could pick a few things. Everything looked delicious and it came out the same way....DELICIOUS!!

I HIGHLY recommend stopping in at The Flying Goose. The vibe and ambience are second to none… welcoming to locals, weekenders and people just passing through. There’s a great range of local beers, wines on tap, and full bar able to satisfy whatever you’re looking for. Food options vary day to day with local pop ups… Eat Church has been a standout for me, with an excellent southeast Asian street food menu. Just in case you didn't know, Flying Goose now has happy hour from 3:00 to 5:00 everyday! $2 off drafts, $8 wine and $5 well drinks! Today Eat Church was serving their delicious food. We had the falafel wrap for $18 and it was delicious! Edward was behind the bar doing what he does best! Just found out, live music from 3:00 to 6:00 10/19 outside on the fabulous patio overlooking the Rondout Creek....
