We went to wash clothes and wash the car out, we pulled up I took a bag of crushed kosher crackers and put a tiny hill of these delish crackers on a high ledge that is so high only a 7 ft person can see above it. And let the birds enjoy a tasty treat. Blessed extra, and if I was a bird ide be all in that. But we were talking, my half and myself, and this girl comes up behind me, starts talking in a swaying back and forth manner, I'm wanting to giggle but she's starts angrily about how I should take my garbage" elsewhere and she's calling the police"( I'm serious right now) the young woman, was claiming to work at the laundry mat and ide already put our clothes in the machines we were going to wash the car while we were waiting for the clothes. So, she's on the phone with the police, I'm in total shock that this girl, when claiming to be working, was actually hanging out in the parking lot with her boyfriend on work hours and it wasn't lunch time. The woman was telling the police as I'm going so low in shock mind you, that this kid was even saying to the police" and she( me) was driving away, she's trying to get away!!!"???" Lol. I'm like what a complete moron to myself. I'm feeding the birds a blessing from heaven and this child was actually calling our NY state crime line for blessing the birds???? She was acting like a jealous child and she wanted to look big and bad but in all actuality if she cared about the birds eating yummy snacks as a treat from heaven she'd be thinking to herself wow I'm really blind about how much people care. I wanted to call the owner of the laundry mat and let the boss know of the actions of the girl who claimed to be working. The ledge I put the bread crumbs on was next door not in front of their bulding and she was acting seriously jelly in a daze of stuper I don't know what else to say but that the police should have informed her that the animals don't get a lot of man made treats that God blessed and not that he doesn't bless everything I'm just saying the police should be called for crimes not wasted time calls and gas and time to embarrass themselves with a trip to tell someone whom loves the birds.not too. It's not fair for our children to go through life not understanding, that the way they treat people is very important and when people are bored or their friends start saying unkind things or not leaving others in their own peaceful world in their nice day and you try to disrupt their happy with riotlike actions just because they can't control their own thoughts, actions doesn't mean you call the guardians of the planet to make a kind action into a unkind thing, which is impossible by the way. If I were her boss ide think she was in need of counseling. I mean someone who's not capable of discernment or just simple self control . She acted like she was going to hyperventilate saying things like she's trying to get away??, when I had to move the car to go about my business and she was talkng to my family like she knew him and her boyfriend said hey don't I know you from highschool. And I'm looking at her in disgust because she was acting like we did something wrong, she called the snack of bread "my garbage". I'm like omgish this world isn't the beautiful place it is in my head. And if the police were smart, they'd have told her, like a good parent, she was wrong, in wasting the polices precious time and energy, and to go see a shrink,. I'm simply saying, if we bother police with having to decide how the animals eat. Instead of real crimes. we are commanded by God himself to take care of the animals, stated in the bible and the stores have all kinds of snacks for them, and the birds love when we feed them. They feed us too by eating berries and planting seeds everywhere. And looking so beautiful and waking us every morning and on and on. The girl needs to go out in nature and forget she has a half covered body in tatoos for no reason, to start being kind to the planet and it's person's in animal or human form. I'm her elder she needs respectful...
Read moreI cannot say enough about what a positive turnaround this laundromat has undergone in the last year or so. Whomever the new owner is; I commend them on cleaning the place up, fixing almost all of the machines that were out of order & for hiring helpful, professional people. The woman working there yesterday had the place looking tip top; even the plants were dusted & the plants were REAL! This is why it pains me to complain about something... Yesterday there were two young men eating Chinese food at the little counter by the window. I didn't think much about them not wearing masks because they were eating & sequestered in their corner. But an hour later they were in the isle laughing & pushing each other around without masks. I needed to get past & they were completely oblivious. Because each one looked to be above 300 pounds (no fat shaming here, just stating the truth) I literally couldn't get past without asking them to move. I did so nicely & said "Guys you really should have masks on." This was met with much laughter... I don't like having to wear a mask either, but with Ulster County's spiking number of cases; I do it in an attempt to keep others & myself safe. I hope that the laundromat will enforce the wearing of masks until this craziness has calmed (God willing.) It is clear that the two big boy braniacs in the laundromat don't have the common sense, respect or self preservation to understand why they should wear them, but the laundromat should make sure it's customers are safe while there. PLEASE, make sure that the people working there enforce the use of masks. It isn't about "me me me" "My freedom!" "Wah wah wah" It's about making an effort to do the best we can to stay alive &...
Read moreThere are good things about this place, and then there are bad. While I appreciate that the door opens automatically at 7am, there is no one supervising the business. There is a large sign that states that "you are solely responsible for your own safety & property". In the 3+years I've been coming there isn't EVER anyone working here for the 2-3 hours that I'm there. if you have any issues you are SOL. For instance today is hot and humid and there doesn't seem to be any AC on. The thermostat reads that it is 81 degrees in here. There are multiple ceilings fans, but no way to turn them on. There is also a sign on the mandating that you must wear a mask. Normally I would have no issue with wearing a mask, but it is entirely too warm in here, with no ventilation. As an asthmatic wearing a mask under these circumstances is nigh on impossible. Another patron and I propped both the front and the back doors open to try to air the place out. The bathroom is locked, and there is no slop sink to wash either you hands or do any handwashed clothing. I will say that the place is clean, and seems relatively well maintained. There are more working machines than out of order ones. I simply wish that some one was here to sort out issues like turning the fans on or adjusting the...
