My family stopped here for dinner while on a road trip. Atmosphere: At first glance, it's a nice little brew pub with the wood fire pizza oven and brewing equipment in full view. There were a lot of fruit flies swarming around, even though it's winter -- that's a bad sign for the sanitary conditions of the kitchen. Drinks: We ordered a couple glasses of local wines. No complaints there, besides that they were out of stock of the first one I wanted. Food: We ordered the Alfredo fries, salad, and pizzas. The fries were unexpectedly spicy, but otherwise ok. The pizza was pretty good; it's personal-size New York style. However, the tiny amount of meat topping was disappointing, almost like there was none. They didn't have Romaine lettuce for the Caesar salad and the server asked if it was ok to substitute with the "spring mix" greens. That was fine, but when it arrived, it was clear that some of the lettuce was ROTTEN. We notified the server and they gave us a small discount on the salad. Seriously? They serve rotten inedible food and then still charge money for it?! You can see some of the green slime that used to be lettuce in the attached photo. Service: The waiter was very friendly, apart from the salad situation. Overall: The whole family was dissatisfied and would not recommend this place. I just hope no one gets food poisoning.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of options for places to eat around Lake Chautauqua area which I find odd because it's a very pretty area. This place was recommended by our hotel. They don't have a huge menu basically just wood fire pizza, burgers, sandwiches and such. The inside was nice although we did take out. Wait staff was pleasant no complaints whatsoever there. My daughter had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. Burger was juicy, but nothing overly special. Fries were nicely seasoned. We also got the cheesy garlic sticks. My daughter thought they were very good and the marinara was great. I just thought they were "ok". I got the "make it a Philly" with brisket and a side of Mac n cheese. They boast having a famous cheese sauce, but honestly I found it lacking in flavor. The brisket was good though and overall the sandwich was decent. Mac n cheese was very bland to me I had to salt it to get it to have a little flavor. Overall the food was good just not "great" in my opinion. The price was a bit ridiculous $56.55 for a sandwich, burger and some bread with cheese. Would I go here again? Maybe, but probably just because I'm curious how their pizza is. Side note there is zero parking (unless we missed where it was hiding) which is possible since we're from out of town lol

Visited for the first time a few days ago. Accidentally came across this place. I had the Rueben(House cured Pastrami, smoked and thin sliced piled high on grilled marble rye with melted Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.) With fries. Definitely needs to come with more thousand Island dressing. They give you a little container for it and ketchup is the same. You must also ask for silverware. Meat was on the dry side. Hubby liked the Pizza. A Meat Your Maker(loaded with five different house smoked meats.) Didn't appreciate the fact that when I ordered the Ruben our waitress asked what side I wanted and she gave me options. I said fries and then was charged $2 extra. Umm ok. Be aware that if you pay with card there will be a 5% charge. It's on the menu. Overall the place was good. Extra charges aren't exactly great, but the food was good and the drinks were decent. Gin and tonic and a beer. Quiet place. No background music, just the street infront of you. Apparently has live music at times. Waitress was great except not telling us about the upcharge on sides. Read the menu carefully.

The location is wonderful, and I love that you can see right into the kitchen. The pizza oven makes for a great view, and I liked what I heard of the live band. The cocktail I ordered was so good, and my boyfriend liked the drink he got. We were sat quickly, our drink and food orders were taken promptly, and within five minutes we had our drinks.

Then our waitress disappeared, and not one server came our way until the couple sitting next to us flagged one down after they realized we'd been completely ignored for an hour. We never got our food.

As someone who works in a restaurant, it was clear to me that there is a great lack of communication between front of the house and the kitchen. People who came after us received their food. The couple that spoke up for us arrived about the same time as us and got their order within a respectful amount of time. Though they, too, never had another server come check on them, and the husband had to go downstairs to the bar to get them drinks.

The person working the pizza station was doing an amazing job, and pizzas were getting out at a rapid pace. The other side of the kitchen wasn't slow, but they had absolutely no hustle.

I do understand that they were understaffed, and it was busy, but an hour is a shameful amount of time to go without us being acknowledged. Had they told us there would be a wait, it wouldn't have been a problem. But there was nothing. The server that finally came our way was rude when we voiced our complaints, and completely soured what little there was to enjoy about the visit.

I will never come here again, and I really hope they train their staff better. This is not the type of experience I would find acceptable...

On 4/8/2023 I took my out of town sister and her family of 5 to one of our favorites, Grace and Abe’s. Since we were with our family, 4 are under the age of 4, I felt this spot would be best for a quick dinner before we parted ways. We decided to go early (around 4:30pm) to beat any dinner crowd. Once entered we were greeted by the hostess with, “Please sit anywhere!” Looking around there was one other couple upstairs so we took our party of 9 to the corner next to the windows in courtesy of any other customers and to keep our little ones in a confided area. Without help from staff, we pushed two small square tables together to accommodate for our large group, all while smelling the wood fire pizzas cooking and anticipating a lovely pizza dinner! As we were parking strollers, lifting babies into high chairs, and taking coats off a different female staff member from the one who greeted us rushed over and immediately said, “This is prime real estate, you cannot sit here” and made us move with no further explanation. If we were not in a crunch for time and had hungry kids, we would have left immediately. We moved to a large table in the middle of the upstairs eating room that was in the path of any customers walking in and out. As paying customers, we felt a huge sense of not feeling worthy of sitting next to the windows and families with young children aren’t welcomed here. It is disheartening because we love their pizza and their beer and never have had issues before. We are big supporters of local businesses in this region, but no longer feel welcomed at Grace and Abe’s. It shouldn’t matter your status or income level, in a service job you make the customer...
