Our stay in Westport during July 4th weekend made truly unforgettable thanks to Mountain Dog and the incredible culinary talents of Chef Jason. From the moment we walked into breakfast, we were welcomed with a cozy charm and mouthwatering aromas that set the tone for the day.

Chef Jason’s breakfast delights were absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and crafted with real heart. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, from the perfectly fluffy eggs to the locally inspired touches that elevated classic favorites. The highlight? A refreshing mimosa that brought a bright sparkle to the morning and paired beautifully with every bite.

Mountain Dog added an extra layer of warmth and whimsy to the experience—sweet, well-behaved, and always ready for a friendly tail wag. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well-fed and well-loved.

My recent visit to this charming restaurant was a true culinary delight, thanks to the outstanding food and remarkable hospitality provided by Nellie and Chef/Owner Peter. Their exceptional service and a mouthwatering chicken sandwich were the perfect ending to a long and exhausting hike. From the moment we walked through the door, Nellie's warm smile and friendly welcome made us feel right at home

The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, everything was fresh and toasted to perfection. But what truly touched our hearts was Nellie and Chef Peter's willingness to accommodate our requests. They made sure each of us left the restaurant with a satisfied stomach and a smile on our faces.

It was awful. First, the sat us down at a table they didn't bother cleaning. Second, the meals took almost an hour and a half to arrive. Once they got there, NOT ONE was cooked properly. The chicken was overcooked, the fries were burned, the vegetables were severely undercooked, the burger was burned to charcoal, and even the salad felt like it was burned. Not to mention that through all of that they even MISSED AN ORDER and decided to start cooking it only after we asked for the check. Didn't help that half the menu was out and we could barely order anything. Then, they even had the audacity to ask us for a tip! I know that this probably won't stop most people from coming here, but please do yourself a favor and go...
