Zack's Place — Restaurant in Town of Windham

being someone who ain't from here, I've noticed up here the prices for food are outrageous and it's always subpar. You spend 20 bucks on a meal you're only somewhat ok with. It's serviceable but you're always upset that it ain't worth the money you spent it on it This is different. At first I thought 12$ a burger??? Insane. But then I tried the burger. Zack's place has ACTUAL GOOD FOOD you won't feel bad about spending money on. This is coming from someone who makes a little over minimum wage so I don't got tons of money to spend. And Zack himself is so kind. He is always kind to me and my husband. You can tell he is genuine and sincere with his kindness as well. The staff is kind, can actually uphold a decent conversation where you don't feel awkward. The bar is homey feeling and you are always welcomed. I'd give this bar ten stars if I could. I was so happy to have found Zack’s place. Even though it was off season at Windham I really craved steak after my hike. I was not sure what to expect as I’m not from the area but wow the steak was perfectly cooked, the right amount of char, size, and flavor beyond! My brother and I were famished and order two apps- chicken wings and hummus. The wings were soo fresh, not dry, or chewy (I usually don’t enjoy wings) the pita bread was even great! My husband and I were up in the area for a skiing trip and decided to try Zack’s Place after a long day skiing. Well to say the least we were not disappointed. The owner, Zack, greeted us upon entering and we felt right at home. My husband had the ribs and I had the grilled chicken. Both were excellent but the ribs were outstanding.
