Review from November 2022: I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant at all. I was inspired to come here by the reviews and the pictures, but I will never come here again after my visit today.
My visit to the Cafe started with a packed parking lot, so it shows that they are busy and clearly doing something right if people are parking in other parking lots just to go eat there on a Sunday afternoon.
After parking at WF, we made our way to the Cafe placing ourselves as a party of 4 on the waitlist. The hostess informed us the wait would be 10 minutes. We said that was great, and she placed us the on list. Time slowly passed. Parties of 2 and 3 were called. More time passed and more parties of 2 and 3 were called. Eventually 25 minutes or so later, we ask the hostess if we were still on the list since it seemed like a party of 5 that came after us was called before we did, and then especially the discrepancy in time. A couple minutes later they called us.
We go ahead and get seated. We begin reviewing the menu. In the meantime, the server passed our table said he would be back in a few, but one of my friends ordered a piece of toast since her blood sugar was running low.
We all continued to review the menu. In the meantime, we see the server helping other tables around us. As more time passed, I’m not going to lie, I began to get impatient and so did my friend who really needed that piece of toast. We continued to wait. Eventually one of my friends chimes up and asks the hostess who was passing by if they knew the status of the toast since one of my friends was getting the shakes at this point. The hostess after a couple minutes came out with the toast thankfully but also passive aggressively tells her she should do a better job watching her blood sugar… Not really her place to judge or voice that.
My friend snacks on the toast, and the rest of us continued to wait. 15+ minutes of sitting, the server had not greeted us officially besides saying he would be back in passing, and he never took a drinks or meal order. After seeing the server help other tables even more and still not even interact with us after the fact, I decided to get up. I ran into the hostess and asked her if anyone plans on taking our order since we were sitting there for quite a while waiting for even just drinks. She instead responds aggressively that the place is busy and can’t I tell? I was just trying to make sure we got some service and not really sure how I ended up being the bad guy…
Regardless, the hostess instead decides to come take our order. She asks what do we want, and then mentioned that she has already done us a favor by getting my friend the toast she asked the server for… toast…
Based off her condescending tone and just the sheer wait to get any service, we decided it was best to leave. She wasn’t exactly thrilled as she said she was already here to take our order, almost as if we were the ones who wasted her time.
Regardless, the hostess left in a huff and we left back to our car.
I without a doubt in mind do not recommend this place. The service is horrible and this is the first place I have walked out on. While I do understand places can get busy, but that onus shouldn’t be on the customer but for the establishment to maintain limits that their staff can handle. If you are seating customers but then not taking orders or interacting with them really, it is really just the same as waiting for being seated but instead waiting for sheer...
Read moreIt’s really a shame when you used to be a regular but you can’t anymore. 2 instances that were the last straws for me. 1. My boyfriend and I went to dine in and the hostess told us that she would be right back. As we stood in the vestibule another woman came up to us and said can I help you guys? We said yes the hostess said she would be right back. The woman then proceeded to tell us that we should be waiting outside because that’s where the hostess stand is. Mind you this was a hot day and the hostess saw us inside and told us that she would be right back. I don’t understand why we were given an attitude for standing inside.
(Keep in mind I ALWAYS tip when I order online) I ordered breakfast with a cold brew coffee that is 259. When I arrived a woman told me that they were out of cold brew and that she could give me regular iced coffee. She then proceeded to hand me a 10 ounce cup of coffee. I paid for a 16 ounce cold brew coffee. So I said can I please have a 2nd cup. She then proceeded to tell me that it’s not her fault that the cups are small because that’s all the distributor provided. I never complained about the cup size. I never complained that she didn’t have cold brew. I just ask that if I pay a certain price for something that I’m compensated.
I really enjoyed coming here in the past and didn’t have a problem with the customer service but over the past two months they have messed up multiple orders and been rude. Definitely hoping they can turn things around or I’ll just go to...
Read moreMy wife and I first spotted Nudy Café yesterday and hesitated at the sight of its packed parking lot, especially with the time crunch we were under. Today, however, we couldn’t resist stopping in, and I’m so glad we did. From the outside, it looks small, but once you step through the doors, you’re greeted by a spacious, airy dining room bathed in natural light. The décor feels like a refined country club setting, yet the atmosphere remains welcoming. Despite having no reservation, the hostess seated us promptly at a cozy table.
Food & Drink The menu offers plenty of tempting options. My wife chose the gluten-free blueberry pancakes light, fluffy, and bursting with fresh berries. I went with the California Eggs Benedict, and each bite was a perfect balance of silky hollandaise, creamy avocado, and perfectly poached eggs. My compliments to the kitchen staff for delivering such quality and flavor in every dish. My only quibble was the coffee, which leaned a bit bitter. So if you skip cream and sugar on an average day you might want to sweeten it.
Value You get a country club experience without the country club prices 😅. Portions are generous, ingredients top-notch, and the bill was pleasantly reasonable.
Bottom Line Whether you’re exploring King of Prussia or visiting a little one at CHOP, Nudy Café is worth the stop. Exceptional food, bright and airy ambiance, and friendly, efficient service make it a...
