I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but this was the worst dining experience of my life. I’m still nauseous just thinking about it.

First of all, the hygiene was horrifying. The woman had filthy, unwashed nails and was touching the food with her bare hands , no gloves, no care, no respect. She opened the food with those nasty nails, and I wanted to throw up on the spot. I had to literally spit from how disgusted I was. We took the food home, hoping maybe the taste would make up for it. It didn’t. The fish was dry and flavorless, like it was just dipped in oil and abandoned. The mac and cheese had NO cheese. It was just wet noodles, soggy, bland, tasteless. The rice with gravy? It tasted like someone poured straight curry powder on plain rice with no thought. Everything was watery, falling apart. Even a stray cat refused to eat it. That should tell you everything. This wasn’t soul food, it was soul-crushing. Food like this should not be served to the public, especially not in a place that claims to be proud of its cooking. I'm really disappointed. The first time my husband and I decided to try this restaurant was a month or so ago. We actually don't live far so we were a bit excited. I called and ordered two dinners, beef ribs(2sides) and stew beef(2sides). The woman says, we are out of stew beef so I say ok, make both of them beef ribs. 5m later she called and said, "there's no more beef ribs either" so we didn't order anything. Two days ago my husband decides he wants to give them a try. We both order the stew beef and 2 sides. Got it home and was disappointed. Macaroni and cheese was salty, stew beef tasted like marinated cube steak and canned gravy. My husbands yams had so much nutmeg they were spicy. All for $27. J&C fish market is better and at least $6 cheaper. Needless to say we won't be going back for dinner. Maybe we'll try breakfast. It's unfortunate because I enjoy supporting...

Love the comeback. Honestly customer service is VERY HORRIBLE. when you call to place order no thank you no time just hang up in your ear. Picking up food it's horrible greeting. Customers is trusting this establishment with safe cooking & courtesy of them there Is none. Black owned always will support. But come on now simple things are priceless. Without good customer service that can distract me from not wanting to order regardless how good food is. Welp to follow up that will be my last time goin back to that establishment. Very very rude. Yep that girl who picked up her food leaving a message. Tell that girl her food ready smdh.. freaking horrible act just like what you are damn shame. Never again will I go...
