Me and my girl came across this place during its opening week as we live close by and got curious about the new establishment. At first glance you get a relaxed artsy vibe, almost like a place you go to decompress after a hard day at work. The big window front feels inviting as you can see the colorful mural, lounge couches, dim lighting and subtle wood and tile design inside. Upon entering you’re greeted by the smell of delicious latin food and a friendly staff. Their menu is well balanced which is something I really enjoyed being that both me and my girl are somewhat indecisive and having too many options usually means more time having to decide and less love and effort from the cooks in the kitchen. My girl ordered the Chimi which is a style of dominican burger and cripsy fries while I had the mofongo de chicharron with with a platter made with plantain, juicy pork and a choice of sauce. Wait time was decent and the food was well worth it. My girl stated the burger felt very fresh down to the bread they used and I felt the mofongo was very well made especially the pork, it felt the right amount of chewy and not overpowered by salt or lemon. All in all the place does a good job of balancing latin food and culture with a relaxed arsty spin so it’s not “up in your face” if that makes sense. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend to stop by if you’re in the trenton area and in the mood for some...
Read moreBest spot in the area. I started with a Colombian Coffee which was delicious and a Colombian empanada and a Timbi Empanada. Then to go I ordered a Chrunchy Chicharron bowl no rice, no beans and another one with everything for mom. Food WAS DELICIOUS! Everything single thing I tried had the greatest flavor. Atmosphere was amazing! Wonderful spot where you can sit and have a nice conversation with friends and family. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Place is super clean and restroom are stunning!
Definitely will be back and...
Read moreDefinitely not the best Latin experience. I’ve been here 3 times so far. Two times I came when the restaurant has been “open” and said there is nothing ready. Only one time I was actually able to get something to eat. The vibes were great and they had a dj. But those two times that I’ve been here were not the vibes. If your hours online and on the door say open you should at least have some food ready. Even if we have to wait but who I assume is the owner has given me the worst experience. It’s a bummer the food is...
