Mom's Restaurant — Restaurant in Trenton

Just came to Mom's this morning (Christmas Eve) it was our first time but my in-laws and other family have been to Mom's before and love it! Prices are VERY good, atmosphere is very inviting and the overall look of the restaurant I love.. very important to me is the bathrooms and they were very clean and warm! I didn't catch our waiters name (tall guy black hair looked Hawiian) he was absolutely AMAZING! Very fast, nice, precise, always on top of refilling drinks and checking on us! The guy who took our drink order and was bussing tables was equally as amazing I didn't catch his name either (I wish they had nametags or something lol) they both deserve a million dollar raise seriously! He brought our drinks and I forgot to order a coffee he had it sitting on the table by the time I came back from the bathroom to wash my hands and it was so hot and good! There was 9 of today and both men did so well dealing with us all haha! Anywho some of us got eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, french toast, pancakes, strawberries, hashbrowns and biscuits and gravy.. no complaints whatsoever the eggs were cooked perfectly, toast was buttered, the biscuits and gravy I had to add more pepper and a little salt but that's just me 😁 so good and so filling! The biscuits looked like they were made from scratch they were really good!.. we will...

Expected less, they delivered more.

Great little place that has awesome service and pretty good food so far.

I've been driving by this place for years and today I decided to give it a try, ya know, because I wanted to try something different.

So my two boys and I went in, had a seat and were promptly greeted by our waitress. Shortly thereafter we placed our order and within minutes, the food arrived at the table.

I wasn't expecting much really, for a small diner place downriver... but let me tell you, I was surprised. My food was very good. The service was fast and friendly. The manager was extremely polite and shared with me a little history of the place.

We will surely be back to try other menu items and this may become our new go to place when we want something quick, good, and did I mention... very reasonably priced?

Readers: Take a chance and try this place. May I recommend the chicken parmesan? If for some odd reason you don't like it you're only out seven or eight dollars. Fantastic value for good food and great...

Atmosphere/Ambiance: typical mom and pop restaurant. Seat yourself type of place. Tan booths with half wall dividers and TV's on the walls. Nothing really exciting. Feels odd that they push their alcohol because it does seem like a senior citizen type of place. But I have only been there one time. So maybe it was the time of day.

Cleanliness: tables weren't sticky, neither were the booths. Didn't have to use the restroom at any point. All good there

Service: fast and efficient. I wouldn't say "welcoming" per say. More of just routine day to day "what can I getcha?"

Food: value vs price. For the price you are paying you are getting a standard value. The place offers everything from frog legs to chicken parmesan. The menu is extensive but nothing of special value. So, while the food wasn't "this is fantastic!" You are getting what you pay for. The only thing I would change regarding the food is what they offer for toppings. Because of how extensive the menu is, I would suppose they would be able to offer more toppings bc they would be in the fridge. But this may leave more...
