My 18‑year‑old daughter and I made the drive from St. Augustine to Trenton for a little day trip and decided to check out The Little Cafe — and WOW, the food was AMAZING! 😍🍳🥪 Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. You can tell the kitchen puts a lot of care into every dish. The inside (and outside) of the café is so cute and well-done — bright, welcoming, and full of charm. We sat at the back table by the glass wall and loved the view. 🌿✨
BUT... the service was a letdown. 😕 It’s a seat-yourself place, which is fine, but we only saw our waitress three times: 1️⃣ When she brought our drinks 2️⃣ When she took our order 3️⃣ When she delivered our food
That was it. No refills, no check, no follow-up — while other tables (mostly locals) were getting consistent attention. It definitely gave off a "locals only" vibe, and sadly, we felt overlooked.

Read moreI’m going to reserve a fifth star for my next visit. I want to try a big breakfast there. Needless to say it’s a very cute little place hence the name the little café. I was very impressed with the staff and their friendliness and they’re willing to talk about the place. They gave me a bunch of free things to try one of them was swamp cabbage which I am embarrassed to say it I had never heard of this before. Apparently living in the Dunedin area is to Metropolitan for the likes of swamp cabbage. It was very good and I’m sure it was probably very good for my stomach because I have heard that the shoots from certain palmettos Our is good to eat as bamboo shoots. But they have medicinal benefits. I have heard that some palms produceWhat everybody knows of as milk of magnesia. Anyways to me it was just like a boil cabbage dish that was very tasty and a little chillier and nicer texture than regular boiled cabbage. I’m gonna change this whole review the next time I go...
