After pinning lunch if you ever in Trenton, I need y’all to try this place called Scotch bonnet kitchen, the food taste like your best auntie Cook. You know your best auntie that had to cook for the family gatherings.

I wish I didnt have to do this but Ive been eating here for a while. Usually good service and decent food.. I really only go for the Banana Pudding thats catered there… Yesterday I found a nail in my cabbage, as I took a spoonful of it… complete and utter disgust immediately after i spit it out… I went back to the store to show them, and to ask for my money back. Now in that moment , I wasn’t trying to make a scene because they had customers actively coming in. I pulled the lady to the side that does the register and explained to her what I found. She immediately laughed in my face and denied it. The cooks from the back came out ina very hostile way and told me no one wears nails there. Now granted , WHOEVER WASHED THE CABBAGE that weekend or week easily couldve lost a disgusting nail, and its the same color as the cabbage!!! No refund was offered not even a partial one, they were sooooo rude to me!! Even AFTER I tried to not a make a scene.

Best Jamaican food I ever had and I’ve had a lot! The place was super clean and the young lady helping us was SUPER friendly which made the experience even better. I hate to say this, many establishments act as if you owe them something or you’re bothering them. Not this place, the whole experience was great from the time I entered to the time I left. The only reason I spent a lot is because we never been and wanted to try a few things. The prices were in the normal range as other places, maybe a few dollars more but it was worth it. In the photo is a beef patty, stew beef, stew chicken and oxtail. The crust of the patty was perfectly balanced with that nice soft crisp when biting into a pastry. Best beef patty I ever had. I’m so glad I researched a new spot to try. I will be returning often. For those that like lighthouse in the area, FORGET IT! If you want 5 star food and service go here.

I'm reading these reviews below and really want to know if they were customers or not. Here's why...my cabbage was sweet. I had a small side of mac and cheese which for $4.00 I thought I would get a little more than what was given; and the curry chicken was not spicy. AND why do I have to order festival in the morning because that's the only time they cook it. If I want festival at 6pm, that's when I want it. The beef patty was decent though. The decor was modern date. The customer service was mediocre. In total, I would give it a D+. I did not try the other dishes to see if it sways my decision to return for a 2nd try and don't plan to do so. I will return to my usual place for good Jamaican food....well to my liking I should say...Hummingbird. Seating was limited as well. One last thing that was useful is okay parking. But don't take my word for it. Give them a try and then...
