I passed by this seafood restaurant on my way to another one. I thought I'd give this one a try rather than drive a few more miles up the road to the restaurant I intended to visit. I made a huge mistake.
Now I am from the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia. I know my seafood. I know how real and fresh seafood should taste. I grew up crabbing for blue crabs, fishing, and buying fresh fish from the fish market for my mother. So again, I know my seafood.
I said all of that to say that seafood at this restaurant is not tasty. The fried scallops and the crab in the crab sticks aren't even real. My son peeled the bread off of the scallops and UNROLLED them like they were a roll of masking tape. Yes! They unroll. Buy some and you'll see. The crab sticks are that fake crab meat sold by the bologna on the sandwich meat aisle in a grocery store. The shrimp are baby shrimp fried in a mass of Panko bread. The list goes on but you know they charged me an expensive price like everything was real. Oh I almost forgot. The fish that came with my combo was so dry it was like fish jerky. The son of the owner was nice. I wanted to like that place but I'll pass on eating at Seafood World in the future...so...
Read moreI ordered a salmon hoagie and it was very disappointing. Coming from South Jersey, salmon hoagies and salmon steaks are common. This salmon hoagie was seasoned at all. The flavor came moreso from the peppers and onions. It wasn’t really chopped, it was “chunked”.. the fries were greasy. Whatever vegetable platter my sister got was BEYOND greasy and drenched my bland salmon hoagie, so I couldn’t enjoy it even it if I tried. I don’t understand why the guy didn’t separate our orders anyway. You guys should put more effort into your customers food. This place is not where it’s at and the comments, if you ask me, are misleading. Won’t be...
Read moreFirst time here, we googled seafood places and this place came up so we decided to try it. They have parking on the premises. We walked inside to order, they were kinda busy so we waited on line but he took our order fairly quickly...And he was the only person taking orders and handling the phone orders. He was awesome. We ordered a fried whiting hoagie and a fried flounder hoagie with some of "the works". The fish could have used some seasoning. The sandwiches were okay, we also ordered some clam strips and those were good. The prices were great for the sandwiches. I would recommend for a quick bite. I would maybe try the...
