Trenton Social — Restaurant in Trenton

Trenton Social is a nice, albeit small, local bar with an eclectic crowd of locals. They have a small bar on one side and when you walk through a small entryway you go into another small room where there are tables and a small area that is used as a staging area for comedy shows etc. The bartenders are very attentive, the drinks are great, the prices are right and the food is excellent. The big downfall here is the table service. We went here for a comedy show and you might have thought we were invisible. There was one server who spent all night attending to the needs of one side of the room while completely ignoring the other side of the room. Desperate patrons finally started getting up to order our drinks and food from the bar in the other room until the bartender promised to send the server our way. Was it not obvious while we sat at are tables with nothing to eat or drink that we needed service? I'm not sure who was to blame. Perhaps more than one server is needed to accommodate everyone in that room. Perhaps they yanked someone in off the street to see if he wanted to be server for the evening. Either way, once they started serving us we had a lovely evening. When you go, realize that the place could use a facelift. It definitely needs some serious updating. The booth cushions were torn and we could see stuffing and/or duct tape fixes. However if you are looking for good food, good drinks and fair prices, along with a fun evening at a local place, Trenton Social is worth a try. Went there today 3/22/19. We were in the area for the WWE event at the Cure Insurance Arena and we were very early so we asked the box office where wre could find good food and she said there's a place right across the street. We went in and it was very quiet and clean and cozy. We say down, we were greeted and given our menus. We ordered the Beef Bolognese [wife] and the Asian Wings and Calamari w Wasabi Sauce... OMFG for a little spot their food was ON POINT. We like to cook, love to eat good food. We were NOT expecting to have this amazing food that tasted homemade and fresh and just good. I'd go back here just to eat and it's an hour away from where I live. Also when we were leaving there was a wrestler [Titus O'Neil] eating at the bar area. Trenton Social is a cozy spot to hang out after work, have a few drinks a get a nice bite to eat. There is artwork featured in the dining area by local artists which can be purchased. There is Karaoke on Wednesday, and different social events featured monthly including for LGBTQ community. Parking is located in the back or you can park across the street there is an entrance in the front and back part. I enjoyed the place and would go back. Unfortunately, I gave it 3 stars because of their service. I'm not mad at the server, he was pleasant; however, he seemed to have been alone working the bar and tending the tables so we had to wait long; the place was not even full at the time.
