Review: Quesabirrias
The quesabirria is a culinary delight that has rapidly gained popularity, merging the best of two Mexican staples: quesadillas and birria. This innovative dish offers an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
Flavor Quesabirrias are rich and complex in flavor. The birria, a slow-cooked stew typically made with beef or goat, is infused with a robust blend of chilies and spices, resulting in a deeply savory taste. When paired with melted cheese and a crispy tortilla, each bite delivers a harmonious blend of smoky, spicy, and salty notes, creating an explosion of flavors that is both satisfying and indulgent.
Texture The texture is another standout feature of quesabirrias. The tender, juicy meat contrasts beautifully with the gooey, melted cheese and the crunchy tortilla. This interplay of textures makes each bite a delightful sensory experience that keeps you coming back for more.
Presentation Quesabirrias are typically served with a side of birria consommé, a flavorful broth for dipping. This not only enhances the flavors but also adds an interactive element to the dining experience. Fresh garnishes like onion, cilantro, and lime, along with various salsas, allow diners to customize each bite to their liking, adding a fresh and zesty touch.
Popularity The widespread popularity of quesabirrias has seen them featured in a variety of settings, from street vendors to high-end restaurants. This popularity has also spurred creative variations, catering to different dietary preferences, including chicken or vegetarian options.
Experience Eating a quesabirria is a complete culinary adventure. The act of dipping the crispy, cheese-filled tortilla into the rich consommé and savoring the combined textures and flavors is truly memorable. Each bite offers a perfect blend of moist, savory meat, melted cheese, and a crispy exterior, creating a dish that is both comforting and exciting.
Conclusion In conclusion, quesabirrias exemplify the ingenuity and richness of Mexican cuisine. By combining simple, traditional ingredients in a novel way, they deliver a dish that is both exquisite and memorable. Anyone with the opportunity to try quesabirrias should seize it without hesitation; they are a true testament to the elevated potential of street food and a must-try for...

The newly graduate, family, and friends went to dine in to celebrate at this restaurant. They seated our group to the back of the restaurant that was behind a wall. We did not think nothing of it until we left. We were seated at 4pm. The restaurant was EMPTY!!! When the waiter kept ignoring us and not being transparent about food wait, thatâs when we decided to ask for our checks for drinks. The owner/manage came to our tables to ask why we were asking for checks when we ordered food too. Then we asked, well how long will it take for us to get our food. He states that the front of the restaurant is full of customers and he is unsure. Mind you all, we were at this restaurant when it was EMPTY!!!!!!!!! So that means people who came after us were getting their orders. So we decided as a group that we were going to only pay for our drinks and leave.
That is when my blood started to boil. The entire front of the restaurant had reach capacity with guest whom was of a different race than us. There were large parties seated with their food. These people came after us but ate before us. I really couldnât believe that we have been waiting for 2 hours for food and customers who came after us were actually finishing up their meal. Then we realized the other large party that were seated near us behind the wall were Black Americans too. And they have been waiting for food at least 1.5 hours.
I really believe this place does not care for black Americans bc we were treated unfairly.
I repeat, do not spend money where you are not...
Read moreRevising my Review unfortunately....DO NOT EAT HERE! All 4 of us got SICK FROM THE FOOD! Have eaten at Rodeo at several of their locations, and was always great....except for the recent visit yesterday at their new location in Troy, AL. Waiter was fine, restaurant on a Monday night was not busy at all. The new decor and location is very nice...BUT....It took well over 20-30 minutes until our food came, and it was barely luke warm....It was so bad we had to send back all 4 of our plates. The plates had obviously been sitting for A LONG TIME...Also, the table of 2 ladies across from us also were served cold food. They brought fresh plates to us but honestly they must have had NEW cooks or management at this location because the beans and rice are different. The rice was bad, didn't even eat it, the beans were dry, only had a couple bites....had an Enchilada and Taco, just not the same, VERY disappointed, especially because this was MY BIRTHDAY dinner...for our family of 4....AND WE ALL GOT SICK FROM THE MEAL......I don't know what is going on there, but there are 3 other Mexican Restaurants in Troy, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Spent $100 on a really bad experience. Unfortunate. Was always my favorite place to eat. Will NOT...
