Cook Out — Restaurant in Troy

Great food, great prices. Unfortunately, awful experience at the drive thru. The 2nd line always, and I mean ALWAYS runs slow. It takes forever for someone to come through the mic to take your order. We have sat in that line longer than I can begin to wrap my head around. The manager is rude and puts blame on under trained employees who are working hard! Last weekend, we sat in the 2nd line waiting for someone to take our order while the first line ran about 7-8 cars through. Once we got to the window we asked for the manager when he put the blame on the girl running the window, right in front of her. We told him that this has been an issue as far back as last August when he replied, "I normally always train someone on Window 2." He then basically told us Line 1 just has someone better running it. We tried to continue talking to him and he walked away. We asked the very kind girl running the window who was very stressed out for his name. We also noticed, she was not only running Window 2 but also the Front Cashier inside the store. The store was very busy so we can understand why she was stressed out. Drive thru speaker/headset is terribly hard to hear. My order was put in wrong THREE times. Pulling up to the window they then shock me with the $30+ dollar total. It should have been less than $20 but bc it was input wrong she insisted with attitude that I pay. I asked for an itemized receipt before I would pay... she said I could only have one AFTER I pay. So I pay against my own best judgment. She hands me receipt... as I suspected the order is completely wrong. When I told her, she rolls her eyes and replied "so I guess you want some money back?" Actually I prefer not to be robbed in the first place. She finally went and got the manager, who returned corrected the mistake that could have been avoided in the first place. As for the food, it was hardly warm and not worth any of the hassle I went through to purchase it. I will not be back to the cook out. I’m not from Troy, but had passed by a few times. I wanted something different to eat, so I tried cookout. I got the 1/4 pound burger, with mayonnaise, mustard, onion and lettuce. The lettuce was so small, it didn’t even cover the burger patty. The patty, although very flavorful, was only a quarter the size of the bun. The mayonnaise and mustard was obviously put on with a tablespoon, which, needless to say, ended up all over my shirt. Normally when you get onion on your hamburger, it’s just a few rings. This was a huge slice of onion, did occupy the entire bun sandwich. I tasted more onion, then anything else on the sandwich. I had hoped for a delicious burger, because I’m tired of Wendy’s and Burger King.
