Yu's Garden — Restaurant in Trussville

My wife and I have made Yu's Garden our new "go to" stop for Chinese food. We've recently been disappointed by our usual favorites and heard about Yu's from a friend and gave it a try.

Our first impression was good. Very good, in fact. So we went back again a week later to try another dish and our experience was consistent - the food and service was just as good the second time around.

Today I was in the area at lunchtime and decided to drop in to try the lunch menu. I wasn't disappointed. The same friendly service and quality of food is available at lunch, although the lunch menu isn't as broad as the dinner menu.

So far we've had the KungPao Chicken, Mongolian Chicken, and General Tsu's Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and egg rolls. All have been quite enjoyable.

Dinner servings are large enough to share (we took home enough for lunch the next day) and lunch portions, though not as large as dinner portions, are also plentiful.

We will definitely be back to satisfy our cravings for Chinese food, and calling in orders...

When we arrived, there was no one in the restaurant, there was an employee sweeping. She asked us if we had placed an order and we told her we’d like to dine in and from then on she had an attitude. It was the most awkwardly terrible service I’ve ever had. My husband and I each ordered a lunch meal and got a side of lo mein and fried rice. When she was taking the order she said, “you want all of that for here? Or some of it to go?” I told her, we will eat what we can and take the rest with us.
