I love Waffle House. However, my experience this morning was horrible. I walked in the restaurant to place my order. I stood there at the "to-go order" sign for at least 5 minutes and no one ... not one person greeted me. the cooks, and the waitresses looked at me, and I guess, assumed "someone" would take my order. No one did. Another patron walked in after me and sat at the end of the bar and the cook looked at him and asked him had he been helped. The customer said no and the cook said " I can take your order". I looked surprised and concerned. That's when one of the staff members, who had looked right at me before, finally asked if I'd been helped. When I said no, and asked him why had he looked right at me and did not take my order earlier, he told me that he was going to take my order. I further asked why most of the staff ignored me previously. His final remark was...Ma'am have a great day. When asked are you denying me service, he again stated, "have a great day". I often stop at this location because of their excellent service. However, on April 20, 2025, the waitress on duty provided the nastiest service ever in this location. We ordered a grilled bacon chicken sandwich and received a plain chicken sandwich instead. The BLT with cheese was served as a BLT without cheese, and my steak meal didn't come with a knife. When we requested a knife, a coffee refill, we never received any. We also asked for mayo but were only given one packet to share among four sandwiches. When we asked for more mayo, the waitress became frustrated, and the manager had to come out to assist us. We overheard other customers complaining about their orders being incorrect and feeling neglected while the waitress was attended to other tables. People tend to forget that they get tips and paid based on their excellent customer service skills not based on their personal problems or...
Read moreI'm posting this review with the hope that management will make some immediate improvements. Stopped at this location on 2/8 in the afternoon. The server was A+. She was very engaging and personal, one of the best servers I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately though, the food was horribly prepared. Me and my parents have been coming to this location for many years and this was by far the first bad food experience I had at this location. The scrambled eggs were cooked in dirty grease, as there were burnt scrapings in the eggs, telling me that the cook clearly didn't clean the grill prior. The double cheeseburger I ordered had patties that were burnt and hard. It was like they were prepared earlier, burnt, and left to the side until someone (me) ordered a burger so that the patties couldn't be thrown away! The cook needs retraining for sure.
