Agave Pantry — Restaurant in Tucson

I stumbled upon Agave Pantry at a local market a few years ago. I was hungry while shopping (shocking!) and grabbed a little cellophane bag of tiny biscuits. They were perfect. The blend of rose and almond in a fresh little bite made me return immediately and by the 6 remaining bags. So I fell in love with her baked goods (and her cakes are delicious as well).

When COVID-19 hit I missed Shazieh's (the owner) flavors and purchased her flavored sugars and salts. I use them daily and, when I run out, I have even copied them (which always makes me crave hers as they are so much better than mine. She uses uses the best ingredients and her patience to let flavors develop, really makes such a difference in her final products.

What really put me over the top is Agave Pantry's attention to detail in all its products. When I travelled across country to Vermont for a few months, I packed very few things. I live out of town and was in search of a bakery to deliver a cake and some goodies to my father who turned 70 this year. I wanted something a bit more bespoke and really special and that is exactly what i found with Agave Pantry and Shazieh, the owner. I sent an email enquiring about delivery and was answered right away. I was given several delicious sounding options and even though my father's house was a little out of the delivery radius, Shazieh still accepted the order and made the delivery...She sent me pictures and even let me know personally after the delivery was made. Talk about amazing customer service! So happy with the whole experience, the lovely energy and attentions to the details, and of course, the cake - I ordered the Persian Love Cake, and according to my Dad it was outstanding along with the other goodies included. This bakery is a wonderful jewel of Tucson. I've been ordering goodies from Shazieh for several years and am continually wowed by her talent. She is a master of spices and flavors and this can be enjoyed in any of her desserts. Some of my favorites include her cherry lemon cookies, any of her rosemary or lavender treats and the persian love cakes - but i often just order whatever shes featuring and nothing dissapoints. I've also ordered her holiday plates at several gatherings and my company loved the treats. Most recently I've ordered some of her pottery and i look forward to trying her spices and sugar blends. The last thing I'll say is that Shazieh is so incredibly personable & kind, always greeting my family at pick ups. I'm so glad i found this bakery - Tucson is so lucky to have her...
