CRISPY'S FISH N CHIPS — Restaurant in Tucson

What kind of place charges to make an order "to go"? The cashier Lisa (blonde lady, around 40 years old) was rude and made for an uncomfortable experience. First, she never said a word or greeted me so I was just standing there awkwardly as she stared at me until I ordered. Once I started ordering she said that I couldn't eat at the restaurant and had to make it "to go" because her feet hurt and she had been working for 10 hours. I found that very unprofessional and quite rude. I almost did not order. Especially considering the fact there was still about 20 minutes left until close and most restaurants allow you to at least eat your meal while they clean and do their end of day duties. I became upset when I got home and saw that on my receipt I had a "to go order" charge. I have never been to a restaurant that charges extra for take out, especially when you are forced to make it a take out order. Delivery charges are standard, but not take out. That is ridiculous. Not to mention the fish was soggy and not crispy (like their name states). Also, every menu online shows that the mix and match combos come with fries and a soda. I did not get a soda. It must be to the cashier's discretion. Other than that, it was an "ok" meal and I will never return due to the horrible customer service....

Decided to give this place a try based on the good reviews. Sad to say we were disappointed. I was pleased with the customer service aspect. The food was mediocre at best. We got the appetizer sampler that came with fried corn, fried mac n cheese, fried zucchini, fried pickle, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, and hush puppies. As well as the 2 pc catfish combo and 2 cod 4 shrimp combo. The drinks out of the machine were not cold. They handed us a cup with some ice in it because apparently the ice didn't work in the machine. Idk. I expected to wait for the food since its cooked fresh. It didn't take as long as I thought, so I was pleased about that. We got our food to-go, so we got our bags and went home. Our order was correct. The catfish, which I was really looking forward to based on the reviews, was overcooked and rather flavorless. The cod was decent, but nothing to rave about. The appetizer sampler was nothing special, typical frozen bar food appetizers deep fried. The fries needed to be cooked slightly longer as they were kinda soggy, and the shrimp didn't have much flavor. Overall, I don't think I'll return, I wasn't impressed. The fried fish on the Golden Coral buffet...

First off Rafael was very nice when I came into the restaurant, I asked what was included in the combo , which he replied very polite .. I had eaten here before a year ago , this was the last place my deceased brother and myself shared a meal together , as I sat down at the same table , I noticed how clean the young guys had it ..I didn't mind the wait , cause I knew the fish would be fresh not sitting under lights.. My table was directly in front of the counter , instead of Rafael just handing my dinner to me he comes from behind the counter and hands it to me .❤️ Look at the fish dinner , my gosh crisp on the outside super moist and seasoned perfectly on the inside , I like my fries kind of crunchy but these were not instead , they were seasoned perfectly! The tarter sauce with just the right amount for two pieces of fish and with the correct amount of kick to it .. I will definitely go back , no wonder my brother said you are going to love this place and he was right .. Thank you Rafael ! And the hard working guys that work in that kitchen making...
