I loved eegees as a kid. I grew up with it. When they moved down to Rita it was sorta the same.... but not really. The people are rude who work there. Now that I have a gluten allergy, I just order salad and French fries. Then they got fried chicken and they cook it in the same oil and I can't have the French fries anymore which i learned the hard way. Then they changed their salad lettuce from spring mix to something cheap and gross with iceberg lettuce in it and and started throwing in black olives on top. And yet somehow I had an allergic reaction yesterday from a salad I only ate 1/4 of. They always mess up my order. It's very very very sad. I'm not going back and my family won't either because they see how it affects me and they don't want to have anything to do with that. It's just very sad they're turning into another McDonalds to the gluten free world. The restaurant usually smells like the garbage and the tables and floors are always sticky so we don't eat in the restaurant anymore. Every other location we've been to is worse, if you can believe it. It's sad to watch to watch something so revered in your childhood go downhill like that. They've are slowly losing...
Read moreI live 20 min away & was at Walmart shopping so decided to pick up dinner on my way home. Ordered a 12" grinder "heavy" , a 6 " turkey & provolone, 2 med fries, & 1 med Eegee. Grinder was not heavy, turkey & provolone had 1 measly tomato, and most annoyingly, only 1 fry in the bag and it wasn't even full. It's too far to return tonight to get the fry. My bad for not checking b4 I drove away but when there's a long line of cars behind you, you hate to keep them waiting. I called and I can collect my "forgotten " fries any time in the next 30 days. I was charged for 2 fries. Don't know if there's an extra charge for "heavy" but I was just charged the normal price for a grinder. I think the only reason I'll return any time soon is to get my missing...
Read moreAlthough the food was very yummy and of course we enjoyed the classic Eegee drink, the service was absolutely terrible. Every table in the restaurant was dirty. The cashier was taking orders but didn’t close out tickets, so orders were being doubled in size and being taken out to the wrong people. Once we did get the correct food for our order, we opened the food and our sandwiches were incorrect so we had to bring them back to get the correct ones. The entire time all of this is happening, one of the shift leads is getting after restaurant workers for not answering him when asked a question and the workers we interacted with (including the manager) acted like we were inconveniencing them because of the issues we were having.
