My boyfriend and I started going to this native every week. It was fine at first. The next time we went we sat at the bar. We had to ask another waiter to clear an area at the bar because it had been dirty since we walked in. It took about five minutes to be greeted by the bartender and get some menus. Every time we wanted another drink we had to wait until she finally acknowledged us. It took forever, so we ordered two drinks at a time so we didn’t have to wait so long. I would even look at her and smile and she wouldn’t ask if I needed anything. Even the guy next to me was like “I need another beer” and she said “I know I’m getting it”. So the next time we went we decided we wouldn’t sit at the bar. I asked the hostess for a booth. Another hostess sat a couple at the booth we were waiting for. She came back and saw our name written down and just said “oops”. So she cleared off a table that was half a booth half table chairs. I asked if we could just wait for the full booth that was waiting to be cleaned off. Why would I want a half booth if I specifically requested a booth? That was kind of silly. So after the booth was cleaned off, she angrily sat us at the table. I said thank you and she stormed off. We sat down and I noticed the floor was absolutely filthy. My boyfriend stepped on a mushed strawberry and I stepped on a knife and a crayon at our table. There were straw wrappers, fries, and crayons all over the floor of the restaurant. Our waitress was Lauren who was GREAT. I would request her if we ever went here again. We ordered our food and it took longer than usual. When we got it, my boyfriends avocado burger had the soggiest piece of lettuce on it and the smallest piece of avocado that it actually made me laugh. My food was super hot, like the cooks forgot to make my food until my boyfriends food was done. So I showed Lauren and she was super nice about it. She had to take the food to the cook to show them because I guess the cooks never believe her, which I think is rude of them. She came back with the fixed burger. Everything else was fine for the night, but I don’t think we’re going to go back.. I love the food here so it sucks that we’ve had such poor experiences. I would just drive to the location in town if I wanted the food so I can...
Read moreNative's food menu includes few healthy choices. I made a concious decision to eat salads at Native, starting a year or two ago. There is one salad that promises most of the healthy items i would select if I were to make the salad at home. Leafy greens, avacado, chicken, etc. The trouble is, this salad actually has few healthy greens- its clear this $15 salad has the least nutritious parts of the greens- stalks. ALMOST ALL STALKS. Any real leafy portions in the salad are merely coincidental - maybe only 10-20% of a piece of "greens" is actually green! When I get the salad, which I specified to have no "white" pieces of "greens", the white pieces of plant matter are burried under some green portions that serve as cover for the poor condition of the "salad". Of course, just an inch below the chicken, cheese, and the green layer is 15-20% of the whole salad. I contend this cannot be considered a salad, due to the low percentage of greens in this dish, as delivered to the table. I have spent way too many times over the past year or so attempting to point the foregoing to the waitresses. They dutifully put in the order, but it's clear the kitchen either can not, or does not read the order, as RARELY do I receive the salad as I have ordered it. I have talked to the manager on multiple occasions, and sometimes they make it right. Anymore, it seems it is a half-hearted attempt, at best. The salad mix Native provides is less than acceptable- it is clearly the cheapest, lowest quality plant material possible. This indicates that Native does not care in the least about its customers. I have finally given up on this poor excuse for a restaurant. There are other restaurants that are only 5-10 minutes drive from Native that have SUPERIOR salads, reflecting they actually care about their patrons. I am going to these other restaurants, instead of Native. I invite my friends and they have remarked how much better these other restaunants are than Native. Google for 4+ Stars. I'll see you there! Just say no to poor food quality...
Read moreINCREDIBLY SLOW. Server was Dominique 5 tables had people, Dominque has us and one other table Ordered fries appetizer that someone else brought out and it was not very fresh. After forever...I finally asked the hostess if Dominique had gone on break. Sge had not and she finally came to get our order. Up to the point there were no drink refills or appetizer plates. In fact, we never got either. When I asked for napkins, not knowing there was a roll of paper towels on the table, she then asked if we wanted skates but the appetizer was pretty gone at that point. Never got extra ranch we wanted with the fries bc no one ever came back after the appetizer was delivered. Waited SO long for food I had to ask how much longer. My salad finally came out but the wings and burger did not. My chicken wasn't on my salad either. She came back later with the chicken and at that point, I finally just asked to have the food boxed up to go bc we were really late. The bill comes with no itemized items. Just the bill. I have no idea what cost what. But $74.24 for fries, a salad, a burger, wings, 2 sodas and an ice tea. I've been to Native 5x in my life and I always leave saying I'll never go back. But then I'm always hoping they're doing better and give them a chance. Nope. Bad food, terrible service, and overpriced everytime! So that's that. Dominique was nice but I just don't know why we never got drink refills, checked on after the appetizer, why it took SO long to get our order, and then an update if there was an issue with our order. I still gave her a tip bc I'm not a complete jerk but yea....
