I dined 5pm dec 24th, and I had great sympathy for the staff. They seemed to be struggling with every aspect of running a restaurant: taking orders, getting orders out, checking in with guests. Apparently some staff quit on them and there were new hires. Not to mention its Christmas eve. I felt so bad. With all that being said, I gave my order and as it was read back I noticed it was incorrect. I corrected it. All fine. Food was running slow but we were understanding. Food came out and it was the incorrect order. I informed them and they took it back. Mistakes happen. That's life. But why I am writing this review is because my whole party ate as I was waiting for my food and it never came. They just didn't put my order in. No one came to check on our table once. I had to get up and go to the kitchen to ask for things. After I realized my food was probably not being made since it was taking so long, they did apologize, made it, but dinner was over. They didn't offer to take anything off the bill.

We ordered another dish that never came and when we checked on that, one staff member said they didn't make that. After we pointed to it on the menu they made it for us. Strange.

If they communicated at the start thay they were short staffed and be patient with us it would've cushioned the blow at least. But not offering any way to make it up to us is rude, in my opinion. I have never had a worse dining experience unfortunately. I hope they can fix these things before more people have to...

I went here yesterday with my friends and this has got to be the best Indian food I've ever had. But there were other things that added to the experience as well, and I'll mention them later.

CHEAP FOOD. Almost everything is ridiculously cheap for the portions that you receive and that's a new thing to me because every other Indian restaurant that I have visited seemed really expensive and the portions were rather small.

HUGE PORTIONS. With the exception of some dinner menu items, you'll have to share almost everything you order if you want to make a dent in the massive portions that they serve.

ATTENTIVE STAFF. The lady that was working there at the time always kept our drinks full, asked us if we liked each platter that we received, and even shared a funny YouTube video with us on her phone. Service like that makes customers feel pretty good about coming back.

EXCELLENT TASTE AND QUALITY. I really can't say more than that - I really enjoyed the food.

Our table tried the Paneer Pakoras, some Nan, Chicken Curry, the Vegetarian Dinner, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. All of it was impressive, but the Vegetarian Dinner in particular was a ridiculously huge amount of food. I would certainly recommend the food and...

Well, the place looked nice with fine decorum. However, my meal was terrible, I had chicken and dal, the chicken seemed to be dyed red with God only knows what. Later, I suffered from what felt like severe food poisoning; I'm not kidding when I say I was very sick, and felt like I was going to die! I was non-stop puking for 2 days, and had severe headaches, like my head was going to explode. Now was this caused by the food? I believe so, because I began to get sick within 3 hours of leaving the restaurant. And I hadn't eaten anything else before or after leaving the restaurant. I did call the restaurant to tell them and a woman answered, apologized, and told me I could come in and recieve a free meal. I never took her up on that offer, because I did not want to eat there again. After this experience, I've only eaten out once. It was that bad. Now I'm not looking to unnecessarily hurt this establishments reputation, nor say that all of their food is bad; but I am concerned for other diners, and that they not be hurt. So, I'm only sharing my experience, I rarely eat out, and I do maintain a strict diet. So, maybe someone else won't have the experience I had. I just feel that it's important for me...

Still on the hunt for a more casual Indian restaurant, we set out to try India Oven for an early dinner. We were especially looking forward to this try-out since they have a daily lunch buffet. Okay, the place smelled a bit of rancid grease when we walked in. But it seemed pretty clean. But even though they'd just opened for dinner, there were a couple occupied tables, which seemed like a good sign. We were downright astonished to see pre-pandemic prices on the large menu. We decided to share an order of vegetable samosas ($3.99). an order of daal makhani ($12.99), saag paneer ($12.99), and a piece of naan ($2.50). The samosas came with three dipping sauces, all of which were spicy and good. At that point we thought we'd struck the mother lode. Then our entrees came. And blander Indian food we've never had. Even the naan was tasteless. And we'd ordered it medium spicy. It's hard to imagine what it would've been like ordered mild like the people next to us did. We also had to ask for our raita three times, and we were almost done eating by the time it showed up. And when it did, it had flavor. But more flower-like that yogurt-like. Long story short, the hunt is back on. :(

One of the best restaurants in Tucson , I've been there couple times , I really enjoy eating there , the food is really delicious and fresh !!! and they have a yummy buffet also !! The staff : very friendly and nice , they will answer all your questions about the menu or the food ...the place smell really good and it's very clean and nicely decorated, the prices are good ( cheap comparing with what you get at a fast-food ) . I highly recommend this place and I give it 5 stars .and definitely going there again and again .

Little family ran restaurant that offers buffet during lunch. Review based on the buffet. Naan and the Chicken Tikka was dried out when we first came in. Fresh ones came out when they ran low. Samosa was really good. I havent tried at too many places but this one is my favorite. The Saag had potatoes, and the flavor and creaminess was right on. Lamb curry was fantastic. No bone, moderate level of spiciness and flavor. Overall great place, I would try to come when restaurant first open up and not after lunch.
