Me asking to get my barbecue sauce on the side turned into a whole ordeal The young lady refused to do that her reason being that the chicken would not taste the same. I let her know that I will be the judge of that and she still stayed loyal to the idea that she could not give me barbecue sauce on the side. During the exchange of words the supervisor came out or the back of the store and tried to kick me out of the store accusing me of yelling at her employee. I have a very strong voice and it would carry an empty restaurant there were absolutely no customers in there. As I proceeded to tell the supervisor how she was wrong and I should be able to order my chicken with the sauce on the side she starts getting into a shouting match with me which causes the kitchen to come out of the back aggressively like they're going to do something to me. I have work in food service for about 27 years and I've never work at an establishment or been to one that treated me like this unless it was racist. My wife had been at work all day and my child was home from school and I was just trying to buy them dinner. It would not have been too much for them to just give me plain chicken wings with the barbecue sauce on the side to go. I would have gladly paid them the $21 and gave them a $5 tip. I did not have this problem in that location with ATL wings. I will be following up with this with the owner to also let them know about our experience when I brought my hungry family in to get something to eat. If I'm going to pay that much for some chicken wings I should be able to have it the...
Read moreGood food, somewhat reasonable prices (everything is expensive nowadays). I was the only customer, and had to wait for what felt like a long time, but I would rather wait and get a quality meal than one that was rushed and half-@$$. I had the large chicken and rice bowl(?) It was good, (Korean) KFC, tasty sauces to choose from, and it's worth noting that the rice is premium sushi grade sticky rice, not just regular plain white rice. I think there was a bit of like shredded, dried sea weed. Sort of like a garnish/seasoning. Would have preferred wahkame (I know I butchered that) also known as seaweed salad with sesame oil like you get at sushi. But I guess that's a japanese thing. I wanted to try the noodle soup, but they didn't have it as a side, just one large size for like 7$. I think I will go back and try the Krispy chicken sandwich for about 7$ if I remember correctly. Definitely seemed appealing and modestly priced. I think they also have ramen. I have gone back more than once. My second trip I ordered a four piece tenders meal and upgraded for the sweet potato fries. It may feel like it's pricey, but the quality is worth the price. The cabbage was crisp and delicious. It's difficult to find food that isn't pumped full of preservatives. and other poison these days. I don't eat out often as I cook for a living, but the food here is made with care. Great,...
Read moreIt's a family-owned korean fried chicken place. The owners do want to know that their dishes are giving pleasant experiences in all sensible ways. And the dishes surely do!
My recommendation: Rabokki with cheese on. Flavor from emlted cheese, lightly spicy sauce, and chewy texture. A pleasant harmony.
We also tried chicken wings with garlic soy sauce. The fried chicken has very fresh and crisp skin, well cooked flesh, and addictive taste from the sauce. They can't go wrong. You can choose one side when ordering chicken, we chose fried sweet potatoes. I find it fresh and nice addition to the chicken.
Overall, I sincerely recommend this place. P.s. if you would like to experience Korean horchata, try sikhye. Not so known korean stuff internationally, but it's...
