I ordered threw Uber. Typically when the product isn't available, workers will instruct the Uber driver to contact their customer and confirm a replacement item. Upon notice of my order getting picked up I received a message saying my item was replaced. Call the store and spoke to Anthony who claims to be the manager and asked why he hadn't instructed the driver to call me. He claims he was told to just give him the closest thing and it'll be fine. However right off the bat I can tell this "manager" had a shit attitude he then proceeded to tell me I'm "attacking" the wrong party by asking a simple question I told him ok thank you for. Letting me know. Upon arrival of my delivery driver I confronted him about the situation because, in all honesty, both parties should know that the customer gets contacted, you don't just decide amongst yourself what you think the customer might want instead. When I spoke to the delivery driver and told him what the manager had claimed my driver was extremely apologetic said who he dealt with was being a jerk about the entire situation basically told the driver we don't have this so this is what we're giving you instead. The driver had said well let me contact them and was given the response of no need this is the only thing will be able to replace it with while other co-workers started to record the situation. It then escalated further when he driver ask for a straw to make sure I had a straw and who he was dealing with snapped at him and said the straws in the bag and at that point the driver had left and messaged me. I almost didn't believe him until I called the manager again and was met with an unprefessional, smug " hello again Ashlee" I was taken back but said, hi I'm sorry is there a manager I can speak with and was told yep I'm the manager my names Anthony. I told him what my driver said and was again met with an unapologetic "well you can believe him if you want, I've got employees here that will back me up, there's nothing we can do about it now" I asked for corporates number he said we don't have that you can find it online... His tone and comments force me to agree with the driver's claims of how rude and unprofessional the whole situation was from this "manager". what bothers me the most is it's all over a drink honestly. So worried about being "freaky fast" you couldn't have just handed the guy an empty cup and contact your customer to find out what they would like. There's still some blame on the delivery driver as well, if I had been responsible for delivering somebody's food I would have accepted what I was given, contacted my customer, and then come back with a "hey, they would actually like this" before any conversation had a chance to escalate... But at the end of the day at least my delivery driver was apologetic even offered to go back for me but I wasn't going to subject him to that toxic environment. Needless to say more training needs to be done for these types...
Read moreOne Thirsty Thursday night at around 7 pm, I was hankering for a sub but too lazy to go out and get one. I have had some poor experiences with their in town competitor Silvermine, and thought, hey, I'll take a risk and try something new - Jimmy John's!
So I went online, and in less than 5 minutes, I had ordered my sub (the italian- type one with avocado and mayo, but no mustard), input my delivery address, checked that the address was right via some swanky google map plug in, and filled out my card info. Sahweet.
Now, due to lengthy delivery times of almost every other company in Tucson, I expected to wait. That was NOT the case. In less than 5 minutes afetr I ordered. I heard a knock at my door. Sure enough, it was the Jimmy John delivery guy. He looked clean and totally not creepy-hippy T-loc like. After signing my John Hancock and sitting down to eat, I was surprised at the huge size of my sub (I guess 8 inches is larger than I thought) AND that it had been made to my exact specifications.

We are ordering today for the whole office. We were about to order then I realized I had just put a cough drop in my mouth. I am going to have to wait 10 minutes to order now....no one wants a cough drop in their mouth when their Turkey Tom arrives!
Once, I ordered my Turkey Tom online, and it was in my hands under 4 minutes later! 4 MINUTES! It takes me longer to drive there! I don't know how they do it...but they are WONDERFUL.
Also, on 2 occasions now in my 2 years in Tucson I have encountered FREE SUBS! The first time was my first JJ experience being a kind and patient wife waiting in some midnight line for a new release item for my husband. They just walked around handing out FREE SUBS! I was amazed! They saved my life in that line! The next FREE SUB came to my office one morning. She just walked in and handed them to us!
