Low rating because we were pretty disappointed by the service even though the food and views were good.

First the good. The food was prepared well, tasty, and had relatively generous portions. I enjoyed my short rib and my wife really liked the salmon. The views from the restaurant were beautiful and part of it is open air which was neat in the evening.

Not so good. The cocktails were okay, nothing I would ever go out of my way to get again (to be fair we only got to try one cocktail a piece because the server disappeared). The biggest disappointment was the service. The waitress was nice but very slow. From the time we sat down to the time to get water at the table was probably 15 to 20 minutes, another 15 minutes to take our orders, then about 45 minutes to get our entrees. Unfortunately between ordering our entrees and getting them the waitress never came back to our table so we couldn't even order more drinks. It wasn't particularly busy for a Saturday night and there were a number of open tables. The other diners near us (with the same server) seemed annoyed too. Next time I'm going to spend my money someplace with both good food and...

One of the worst dinner experiences I have ever had. So bad, this is the first time I ever bothered write a review. The hotel is great, the ambience and views are superb. However, for the first time ever both my wife and I had to send our orders back. My order of enchiladas was obviously sitting under a heat lamp for hours and in such poor condition I could hardly cut in to it, never mind the taste. My wife's shrimp salad was in no better shape. Ordered the same dish as replacement which even freshly made was nothing special. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of ordering the three layer chocolate cake for dessert. Waited 30+ minutes for a slice of frozen supermarket quality cake. Between myself and two kids we could hardly manage to eat our way through half of a small slice. My 8 year old commented, "all this wait for that." The restaurant is set in a large outdoor area and it is a hit or miss if you see your waiter. Seems we have seen more of the restaurant manager than our waiter through the experience. Drinks were great but expensive. Our waiter was very apologetic witnessing our experience and between her and the manager comped most...

It had been years since we visited this lovely resort but decided to do their Easter Brunch at $110 pp. we had a reservation and were seated right next to the server station. When I asked if we could have another of their several empty tables… the young lady said they were specifically assigned to certain people… what? Okay.

Underwhelming on the food/brunch for that price point, and to only include a few standard breakfast beverages was a bummer. They had tons of inexpensive filler foods… the French toast was cold, the scalloped potatoes crunchy (eg potatoes still raw). My hubby did get his fill of shrimp and I enjoyed a couple of the very nice desserts they had on display. It was unclear if Mimosas were included, as we were never offered and noticed at the end other tables imbibing.

Server Brenda was absolutely the best part of the entire experience… all smiles and very attentive. The valet guys...

Every year for my birthday I take myself out to a nice lunch alone. Since I had been to this restaurant and bar several times over the last few months, I went back today. My go to is the Ahi Tuna Tostadas. Fresh and cut perfectly. It’s not a tartar, it’s full chunks of tuna! (I should have taken a photo.) I sat at the bar and Ari was amazing! She not only made recommendations for cocktails but she also checked on me frequently and was so friendly! My food came out timely and was so delicious! The bar area is quiet and since it was a Friday afternoon, there was not a lot of people there. It’s really pretty at night too when the stars are out. The staff brought me out this birthday dessert but since I was so full, I was only able to eat the cheesecake! Thank you all for a great experience!

Superior dining experience. You can tell that the team that designed the menu really understands how to bring every dish together. The queso fondue (add the chorizo AND wild mushrooms) was super well balanced. We didn't lick the plate but it was a close call. The braised short rib was fall off the bone tender. No knives needed. The achiote chicken had a very nice spice to it. The seafood linguine was excellent with generous portions of sweet scallops and perfectly cooked shrimp. The apple pie crumb dessert was yummy and I loved the contrast of the pomegranate cheesecake. And don't forget the peach bellini that literally tasted like biting into a perfectly ripe peach infused with liquor. Service, of course, always exceptional. Thank you, Ayla!

Jazz, my server, was lovely. Very attentive and answered all of my very specific questions. I was torn between two wines and she was very generous with offering tastings. The Caesar salad with shrimp met my expectations entirely. While the crème brûlée may look burnt to you, it is actually perfectly brown and crisp made to order!! When I told Jazz to “torch the shttt out of it” and that I would expect nothing less than a true brown, she indicated “challenge accepted.”
