I was really hoping for a ranch style welcome but that was instantly not the case. I was excited to hear live music, was expecting a hostess but no, granted I was by myself and was planning on sitting at the bar. ( my mom just got done having open heart surgery). I knew what I was going to drink and everything. So I sat my self at the bar, the music was LOUD! The bartender doesn’t even give me a menu just asks what I want. So I order but it’s LOUD! Right away I can tell they are skeptical cause I look young and I have and out of state idea that is also a CDL. So I’m thinking as soon as they see my id that has a birth date of 1990 and Colorado out of state and a CDL there demeanor might change and I can get served with out getting looked at weird. But not the case again. I didn’t get offered a menu or really checked on or even chitchatted up by the bartender, I didn’t even know who the bartender was because three different people came too me which felt like they were investigating me. I had to ask to order another drink and made it obvious I was done with my first one. If you read the other one star reviews about this place I feel is the true rating to this place, I don’t usually leave reviews but this is definitely a dive bar trying to cover up as a nice establishment. If you look at a map this seems to be the nicest bar on the east side of Tucson. That is not the case! Nothing cowboy or Ranch about this bar...
Read moreI’m actually really impressed with the quality effort this new steak house in town is putting out there. They only use tallow to fry in. That’s amazing! I’ve been here 3 times now and I’m impressed with the consistent quality in food each time. I ordered the flat iron 12 ounce steak the first two times with mashed potatoes and green beans and the steak was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, as well as my sides. I was so happy with my meal that I came back a second time shortly after and ordered the same thing and it was served with the same quality and excellent flavor. The third time I came, I tried their wings. I have to say, these are the best wings I’ve ever had. Hands down. I’ve read some previous reviews and I’m surprised to hear of some people’s poor experiences. I think their steak is absolutely amazing. And I know a good steak! I have only tried their flat iron, so I can only speak on that. But their service has always been exceptional as well as their food. The atmosphere is relaxed and not upright. I appreciate their efforts, and with any new business it’s a learning curve, which takes time to perfect. I hope this new local steakhouse, who is trying to make a difference in bringing good quality food into the industry, exceeds tremendously! We will definitely...
Read moreWe hade a fabulous experience here. We have now been here 2-3 times. It started at the front door meeting Jared the owner, and then his delightful wife (Suzanne) and ultimately the chef (CJ) and our fantastic server (Jenn). Then came the flavorful margarita and beer/wines, followed by a terrific wedge salad. But the star of the show: The steaks (I did the ribeye and my wife did the NY strip) were beyond flavorful and the roasted potato and green beans w/bacon were on point. I suggest ordering them medium rare and I might try a thicker cut next time. We have also not had a great Ranch Smash burger, and the Tomahock pork chop is big and flavorful! They also had very good live entertainment (singer/guitarist). The space is a bit small but has both indoor and outdoor seating and an expansion is in the works. Lots of TV’s to see the game. All around, it’s a new hot place to try on Tucsons East side and since it is a bit tucked away, it’s a diamond in the rough that you have to try!
The above is from several visits! Awesome as always. Here are some more...
