The worse experience I've ever had in a with a gym membership. App issues where you can't get into gym. Not being able to change payment cards on app. Hard to reach anyone. Missing equipment (decline benches for one...how do you not have even one decline bench for barbell and dumbbell usage?) that they keep saying they are going to get in. And calls/text from India asking you to come in and have your picture taken when you've already gone through that process (even when called locally they expressed that this was wrong). DO NOT RECOMMEND. I think I've left one bad review here ever. That should tell you something.
When I first signed up they mentioned that I'd only be able to workout during hours someone was there due to app not working despite having paid membership already.
Then there was the late fees applied to my account as a result of their app not allowing change of payment card (as I had gotten rid of the previous card). Once I was finally able to reach someone after numerous calls (sometimes phone isn't answered during normal business hours) I had card manually changed by them. Promptly I made payment once changed. Yet I had a late payment that was never taken off despite repeated requests and their admittance of error on their end. I've never been late on any of my credit cards for example. So certainly wouldn't be late
Next the calls from a party they contract located overseas that bombarded my phone with calls and texts. But no solutions. Only that they wanted late fees that I didn't owe.
Almost a month later the late charges have finally been taken off after finally reaching them...again. Despite notes on my account for this to be fixed.
That's a lot to happen in just over two months membership.
And then to add to it, an additional charge (which is on your agreement) to lock in your monthly rate. Which I of course paid. But you'd think with all the hassle they could waive the $42.39 charge? Not that they have to. But it seems that there would be something they could do for all the troubles. Just as a gesture. Even partial. Nothing at all. No gesture whatsoever.
And I'll add this comes from someone that doesn't go out of their way to write bad reviews. Even bad experiences I usually just accept. Because they are going to happen after all. But this was quite a few.
Edit: I love how the owner mentions the decline as a way to pass blame. Just noticed this. Not sure when they responded. They only tell part of the story. It was an old card that had been changed. And due to the issues with their app, it could not be updated. After numerous calls etc to fix this. I don't write a ton of bad reviews. There is a reason this one was written. Funny thing is they made no denial of the lack of equipment that would be standard in other places. A decline bench? Not one decline bench? And this was during the month or two that I was a member. That's a long time not to have even one...
Read moreI am so thankful to have a fully equipped nice gym that is open 24hrs, AND close to home.
To access the gym, you use a barcode on your phone (in your apple wallet or through the app). It’s very convenient. There are staff available during scheduled hours if needed.
This is a full gym with cardio equipment (treadmill, elliptical, stair stepper, spin bike, seated bike, rowers, fan bike), a ton of machines and cable machines, squat racks on a platform for power lifts, bench, smiths, and free weights.
There are two open areas available to do exercises and stretches. One is a room that has classes scheduled daily. The classes are available with an upgraded membership.
They have hydro massage, massage chairs, red light therapy, saunas, and a tanning bed.
Bathrooms/locker rooms have lockers and showers. There are no additional items available for use in the locker rooms (hairdryers etc).
All this to say, I highly recommend this gym and I have really enjoyed having a membership over the past 8 months.
A couple things I would change if I could: towels to wipe the machines down often run out when I’m there (nights and weekends). the bathrooms are a bit of a letdown. Stalls are often dirty. There are hard water stains on the counter around the sink. Doors that have to be pulled in further to latch. Missing or stained ceiling tiles. more free weight dumbbells. If it is busy (which it is increasingly so), it’s difficult to get the dumbbells you need. It would be nice if there were 2 sets of each weight...
