THE ONE STOP REVIEW
I really want to like to this place. But here’s the raw review. I know Sam Fox, eat all over Tucson, and familiar with many local concepts.
This is Raising Canes concept with an Indian twist. This is a guilty greasy pleasure like Long John Silvers. What do I mean?
The beverages(tea and soda’s) are made from unfiltered tap water. I threw mine out. Tastes like old ice that’s been sitting for a week. I highly encourage a change here. 0/10 on the beverages.
ASIAGO PARMESAN Great presentation of the order. The fries were crunchy golden brown from shared grease that cooks everything. It’s aged grease that flavors the fries. I like em but definitely not healthy. Imagine fried food from the Fair or carnival.
The Chicken Parm was good with an authentic Indian spice twist. The bun was low quality but acceptable. Think roadside Sonoran dog bun. For me… it was a 4/10.
TIKKA MASALA MAC. Beautiful presentation. At first I loved it. It’s a Mac with Indian zest. But after 10 bites I wanted something different. It does come with a generic hot dog bun buttered and toasted, the other side with toasted cheese. Which was ok but bland and just didn’t tie into the Mac. I’m frustrated because I want to like this new twist on Mac. But needs something to break up the flavor. I’d rate this a polite 5/10.
JUMBO TENDERS 2 The usual presentation not worthy of a photo. The chicken was good and seems of good quality. The breading however was like a shake n bake seasoning from the grocery story. I mean not appealing whatsoever. Super greasy. Paired with the fry’s… I give a hard 2/10.
CONCEPT
I rate the overall marketing and advertising as 7/10. Very creative. Catchy. Driving by is captivates your curiosity.
EXPERIENCE
I rate this a hard 3/10. The Indian gentleman was like an emotionless robot. Seriously. I’m very upbeat and lively in my conversations and purposefully attempt to social engineer my encounters to make people’s day and bring them out of their shell. This guy? Cold as ice. Not to mention the long wait! Drive thru 20 mins to get food with one person in front of us.
So guys demeanor was so interesting, it peaked my curiosity. This was something I haven’t experienced. I’m very good with people and this guy was a brick wall so I searched the property owners. I mean, the impression was, I second thought maybe this is a money laundering scheme. Palmera Capital Investments. The tax address is attached to a $2 million dollar home of 4200sq ft in RANCHO MIRAGE CA.
The big question is…. Would I go back? The answer is no. I love the concept. It’s catchy. It’s different. I like the Indian twist on such an American food. I want to like it. But this is something I expect from a food truck. They invested I’m sure over a million dollars in the concept of marketing, advertising, the website, the restaurant itself with the custom exterior paint job, modern kitchen but no water filters? The quality of the food was just… why??? This place has potential. I want to see Gordon Ramsay get this place...

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly. The ambiance was vibrant and casual, perfect for a relaxed meal with family and friends.
Exceptional Food Selection
The menu at Tuxon Chix offers a delightful array of options that cater to various tastes. I started my meal with the Garlic Truffle Fries, which were absolutely divine – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned with a hint of truffle that elevated the flavor.
For the main course, I opted for the Tuxon Chicken Wrap. It was packed with juicy, flavorful chicken, fresh vegetables, and a zesty sauce that tied all the ingredients together beautifully. The wrap was both hearty and satisfying, making it a perfect choice for a filling yet not overly heavy meal.
Amazing Sides and Treats
I couldn't resist trying the Mac & Cheese from the Side Chix menu. It was creamy and rich, with a generous portion that was perfect for sharing. The Cheese Curds were another standout – golden and crispy, with a gooey cheese center that was pure indulgence.
For dessert, I treated myself to the Cluck'n Banana Waffle. It was a delightful end to the meal, with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. The waffle was light and fluffy, topped with fresh bananas, whipped cream, and a drizzle of chocolate that made it a real treat.
Kid-Friendly Options
Tuxon Chix also caters wonderfully to younger diners with their Lil' Cluckers menu. My little one thoroughly enjoyed the Boneless Wings, which were tender and flavorful.
Outstanding Service
The service at Tuxon Chix was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready with a smile. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The food arrived promptly, and the staff frequently checked in to see if we needed anything, which added a personal touch to the overall experience.
To complement the meal, we enjoyed a selection of drinks from the menu. The Tractor Juices were particularly refreshing, offering a variety of flavors that were both delicious and unique. The Sedona Spring Water was a nice touch, providing a crisp and clean option for those who prefer something simple. Overall, Tuxon Chix exceeded my expectations with their exceptional food, outstanding service, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Tuxon Chix is a fantastic choice that promises a delightful dining experience. I can't wait to return and try more of their...
Read moreThe place was clean! I mean sparkling clean. However, when we walked in we were hoping for a refreshingly cool atmosphere. It was hot. In fact, it was so hot that one of the employees (who I think is the owner) was pulling at his shirt to fan himself. I said, “I see it’s hot behind that counter too eh?” I asked about a sandwich combo and they said it was very spicy. I said I didn’t want spicy so they suggested The Wildcat Sandwich which burned my lips off. You order at a counter just like you did when it was Burger King previously. Upon placing your order they display a tip line suggesting different tip amounts. I find this a little premature because I have not experienced your service or food just yet. So, I left a tip and I thought to myself as I sat down, if they don’t bring my food to me I won’t tip again. They did bring the food out; a young man brought our food to our table. However, he had no condiments or napkins or straws so we had to get back up and get those anyway. My mother was with us and as she bit into one of the chicken wings she turned to me and said “I know you like salty food but I think this is even too salty for you.” I tried one and she was correct. I ordered the , lemon pepper, chicken wings, and they were a little dry, well, a lot dry. And they were almost too salty to eat. If I wasn’t so hungry, I probably wouldn’t have had any. Anyway, I’ll try to end this on a positive note. They’re new and perhaps are working out the kinks. But please lower the temperature in that restaurant or upgrade your air conditioning unit. They have an open ceiling and in that restaurant they really should have a drop ceiling to insulate or they’re going pay a fortune in electrical costs to keep it cool during the summer. Again, the place was extremely clean though the visit wasn’t over-the-top spectacular. We will try it...
