My partner and I have passed by Nico's Burrito Shop since it opened and we would frequently comment on the long drive through line and full parking lot..."Must be good...we should try it someday," was the usual refrain...until today. We enjoyed lunch at Nico's Burrito 🌯 Shop earlier this afternoon and I decided to share this review and encourage each and every Tucsonian who enjoys good Mexican fast food with generous portions and reasonable prices to experience this excellent little eatery. Why? First of all, cleanliness...Restrooms, tables, and general cleanliness of this restaurant is Five Star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Second, Luisa, who took our order and performs many other tasks, I observed while we were dining, with prompt efficiency. Third, the food is delicious 😋and the portions are generous...especially the queso on the frijoles (Many Mexican restaurants here in town, from the fast food ones to some of the most upscale, tend to skimp onthe cheese when they serve refried beans 🫘 Finally, the atmosphere is enjoyable and conducive to a good meal...from the Musica Mexicana on their sound system to the uber cool Sombrero lamps hanging from the ceiling. This afternoon was our first visit to Nico's Burrito Shop...it will DEFINITELY not be...
Read moreVery disappointed in the egg and potato breakfast burrito I just got. I specifically asked for an egg burrito with very little potatoes. I repeated it 3 times to the lady taking the order. But what I got was the opposite. I got a burrito with LOTS of potatoes and very little egg. This is twice now, and my husband's burrito was the same with way too much potato. They used to give plenty of egg. I understand that the cost of eggs have skyrocketed recently, but this is unacceptable. The prices on breakfast burritos are still high enough that Nicos should not skimp on the eggs. No other restaurant that I go to is doing this. When I order a breakfast that includes egg, I get plenty of egg and no extra cost either. Please customers beware of what you are getting. There are PLENTY of other restaurants that offer the "breakfast burrito" that has become so popular....

EDIT: I just went here again the next day (my daughter is in the children’s hospital right by this) and I wanted to leave a separate review, but it doesn’t seem to let me. THIS NICOS IS INSANE. I’m going here anytime I’m remotely in the area. The Horchata is magical and the carne asada enchilada style chimichanga I just got was absurdly good. This place has their stuff together. The food is better than most sit down...
