Okay, so I’m from gulf shores AL and LOVE seafood boils. Moved to Manchester a while back and have been searching for good seafood in the area so I decided to try this place since everyone had recommended it.
Let start here: The atmosphere is amazing, pefect little replica of a nice seafood market combo with a restaurant.
THE FOOD: WORST SEAFOOD BOIL OF MY LIFE!!! Maybe it’s me….. but last time I checked, seafood should be boiled with spices and seasoning.
My shrimp boil was brought out with a packet of dry seasoning, and a cup of BUTTER FLAVORED OIL !!! (NOT BUTTER)
When I asked for garlic butter I was brought Garlic & butter flavored OIL !
The Finnaly let’s touch on the service : The front end staff were amazing and very friendly BUT the chef come out to the kitchen to see how our food was, when we told her the food it tasteless and not what we are used to when ordering a seafood boil….. she became irritated and shouted “you have seasoning and butter right there” asking “what else could we possibly need”.
$92.00 for 2 VERY SMALL BOILS!!!
For anyone who enjoys seafood boils from the gulf please do yourself a favor and DO NOT go here.
Instead
TRY CRAB FEVER in Murfreesboro or JUCY CRAB in Smyrna.
Much better food & a way...
Read moreO!M!G! I feel like I've died and gone to heaven! Not only is their fresh seafood fresh and the staff is the best, but their hot menu is amazing! The crab soup was the best I've ever had and I spent my summers with relatives on the Chesapeake Bay eating blue crab that we caught ourselves in the bay that backed up to their property. It was deliciously creamy with huge lumps of crabmeat. The only problem I had was I didn't order enough if it. The wagyu beef hot dog was delicious. Good sized hotdog. Very moist and cooked to perfection. I'll be ordering a pack of these to grill at home. The Kimberly crab cake was awesome! Most bought crab cakes are full of breadcrumb fillers. Not at TSP. Theirs is full of lump crabmeat. I got mine without the bun. It came with some delicious sauce and very tasty cole slaw. It was so big that I was full after eating only half of it! The filet trap was divine. Only ate a couple of bites since I was stuffed with soup and crab cake. I have no doubt this sandwich will heat up well. The Seafood Place is well worth the price. Great food and friendly staff. Thanks for a great...
Read moreI recently stopped here for lunch on my way home from the gym; I actually had no idea it was there until I drove by. At about 13:00 on a Friday, it was populated, but not overly crowded or loud. The restaurant has a nice vibe; it's a relaxing, coastal-seasonal eatery type of place, but it's not overdone. The music was a chill mix of Reggae and Indie Acoustic, set at a comfortable volume (which is a major win in my book). Julie, at the front counter, was very friendly and helpful; she explained any menu options that I was curious about, and offered both a meal discount and a rewards-membership bonus to me. I ordered Blackened Mahi Mahi fish tacos with Rosemary kettle chips. Everything was hot, well-cooked and quite tasty. I find talking about price rather redundant, since eating out always costs more; however, just for grins, comparing the portions and prices of TSP with (a certain other local seafood restaurant), there's no contest.
TL;DR This is a gem of a restaurant, and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a chill, friendly atmosphere to enjoy...
