Naming your taco stand "Big Papi" in this taco-obsessed part of town is a bold move. The challenge was irresistible, so I ventured out to see if these tacos could live up to the hype.
As luck would have it, the skies opened up just as I arrived, unleashing a torrential downpour. With no time to linger, I scanned the menu, hoping to find those elusive meats like lengua, cabeza, and sesos. The rain intensified, urging me to make a quick decision. I went for the classic Pastor—a true test for any taco stand, given its ubiquity and the finesse required to get it just right.
The price tag caught me off guard: five tacos for just ten bucks. A deal so good it made me skeptical, but with the rain beating down, there was no time for second thoughts. I paid, grabbed the buzzer from the lady at the counter, and dashed back to my car, now soaked to the bone.
Within ten minutes, my tacos were ready. The downpour continued, so I could only manage a few quick photos and didn’t get a chance to observe the service or the ambiance. Thus, I’ll refrain from grading those aspects for now.
Back in my car, I opened the container to find five generously sized yellow corn tortillas—huge, justifying the "Big" in Big Papi. The sauce was tangy, and a squeeze of lime added a zesty kick. The taste? Quite good, but they didn’t hit the Pastor mark I was hoping for. They leaned more towards a campechano taco—a mix of meats. If they had marketed them as such, I’d have been completely satisfied.
The yellow corn tortillas weren't my favorite, but they weren't a deal-breaker either. So, are Big Papi tacos worth the name? Well, they’re big in size but fall short on the bold flavors and execution that the name suggests. For the price, they’re a solid deal, but they don't quite live up to the "Papi" part of the name.
Gracias!...

Fries were HORRIBLE, seems like they’re just soaked in grease. If I could put 0 stars I would! Do...
