We were looking forward to eating here because of the positive reviews. Maybe this was just an off day. The man taking orders was apathetic at best. Seemed put out with everything. The food was so so. The baklava which is really the only bad thing I ordered was dry and tasted old. All the rest was fresh but just ok. I can't attest to how to make hummus but it was bland. I did tip 15% even though I had to bus my own table. Seems strange. Maybe not. The boss seemed friendly but we didn't interact with him. The lady who brought the food was nice. It seemed like the guy taking orders needed more customer appreciation training, and maybe some respect for his boss. He rolled his eyes several times when directions were kindly given. Sad indeed.

This is a must try restaurant if you like Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food! This is a nice, clean, bright, friendly staffed little deli. We ordered the Chicken Kabob and the Gyro Platter with one side each and an order of Hummus to share. For the side my wife went with the house salad and I went with the tabouli. They have weekly specials that make this place worth checking their FB page often. I am going to watch for the cabbage rolls! Order at the counter and the food is delivered to the table. Nothing fancy …but it is good fresh food. Everything was wonderful!

4.5 stars rounded up to 5. I got the gyro platter with two sides, hummus and veggies. Absolutely delicious. Hummus was outstanding. Veggies come with balsamic vinegar so beware if that's not your thing. The restaurant itself is ok atmosphere-wise, but customer service was great and friendly. Why the half point deduction? The gyro portion was too small, especially for the price point, and left me wanting more, which is saying a lot because I usually have leftovers after every meal. Ultimately though, the flavors are great and I'll try it again.

Edit: I got the chicken kebab and my buddy got the beef and chicken kebab combo. He paid a lot more than I did for the same amount of food with the exception of a kebab. The chicken and rice were bland surprisingly, for the amount of honest hard-work they put into the food. The hummus and pita were enjoyable. Nothing wowed me initially which is why I'll try something different next time.

It smelt like strong chemicals when we walked in, maybe a drainage issue being resolved.

The counter guy was maybe having a bad day cause he cut me off before I even finished ordering to get my friends order. Then seemed annoyed when I cut him off to finish my order.

I do want honest hard-working owners to be able to keep their business which is why I leave honest reviews. Most people speak with their feet and not their voices. They'll walk out and never come back.

Professional hard-working owners should compare their cuisine to the surrounding competition to see how they can better the food as well as understand how to take something negative and learn from it. Which is what these honest owners plan to do surely.

Stumbled upon this place while having a little time to kill, and it has become my new favorite "meat hole". The lady working behind the counter answered all the questions I had, and as a mediteranian food novice, I had a lot. She even offered me a sample of some of the items I was unfamiliar with. But no matter where I eat, I always look for meat on the menu regardless of how adventurous I feel upon entering a new eatery. The tenderloin kabob was the special, so it was meant to be. After 1 bite of the kabob, the seasoning and tenderness took me by complete surprise and I was hooked. This tenderloin flavor holds its ground vs other specialty resteraunts like flemmings and mahogony, but at an undisputed "pound for pound" price point to make Char Char the clear winner. A great little hidden gem on...

This is literally my most favorite restaurant in Tulsa. The food tastes fresh and delicious with a perfect combination of flavors. I highly recommend the combination platter gyro & chicken with a side of tabuoli and peruvian orange blossom infused cardamon tea. I may still be a novice when it comes to Mediterranean cuisine, but this small business definitely knows how to make great food! I am so glad to have found this gem. It’s serves perfect healthy comfort food for any occasion. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Great for large family or friend outings and even a solo lunch date by yourself when you just really need a pick-me up.

If you are looking for good food and friendly staff. This is a great place to go.

I look forward to coming back to try...
