Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Tulsa

Let me preface this by saying, I don't like having to write about poor experiences about any business I may frequent. Today, Monday, May 4, 2020 after 10:00am, I arrived at Einstein Brothers Bagels at 2660 E 21st St, in Tulsa, OK. I have never been or ordered from an Einstein Brothers Bagels when my girlfriend showed a coupon for 13 bagels, for $7.00 and (2) tubs of any schmear, for $5.00. We thought, GREAT. We both both love bagels and cream cheese, so I phoned the order in. I got to the drive thru window and my order was ready. Keep in mind, the total should have been $12.00 before taxes. Initially, I was told, $18.99. I kept calm but stated that's too high. It turned out the special is on a bar code, so I handed the drive thru lady my phone and with our phone number the price came down to $14.09. Still, I pressed a second time stating, that's a lot of tax for a $12.00 order. The lady showed me on the receipt; $7.00 Dozen "Baker's Dozen", which actually the ad stated, 13 bagels for $7.00. I thought, okay, I got it down to where it should be. When I got home, I took a closer look at the receipt and discovered the lady charged me for (2) tubs of schmear at $2.99 each, she didn't charge (2) for $5.00, as stated on the email offer. Its not so much the $1.00 extra and the tasty bagels and schmear as it was the gruffness and poor attitude, made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Again, it was still a good deal. The bagels and schmear were great. It's just unfortunate that my first experience included a poor customer customer...

I work in dining services so what I'm writing is based on that knowledge.

Don't come to this one. Ever. I came to this restaurant for the first time with my family (not my first experience with Einstein's Bagels though). We ate inside and I could see where they were making the eggs.

The lady was handling the raw eggs and then never changing gloves before moving the finished ones to the Merco. That was bad enough. Then I watched her drop the spatula onto the floor. Instead of taking it to the dish sink and properly cleaning it, she literally rinsed it off in the hand washing sink for less than 5 seconds. No sanitizer or anything. Worse after picking it off the floor with her gloves on, she never changed them so they were cross-contaminated. She went back to handling the food using the same gloves.

I watched one guy with a heavy beard working in the back without a beard net. No one greeted us although the one who took our order was pleasant once we had made our decisions. Employees sitting behind us listen to videos loudly, so hearing two separate things that loud made talking with my wife difficult. No one looked like they even cared about their job or about us as guests.

The only thing positive was the food was pretty good but after seeing her cook the eggs afterwards made my egg bagel less appealing.

I will never come back to this restaurant ever. I spent $40 today and it's the last you'll...

My Wife, and I stopped in Einstein bagels at 21st and Louis roughly for a quick sandwich to go today May 30 around 12:45 PM. I wanted a bacon egg and cheese bagel and I was asked if I wanted two or one eggs. I intern asks the lady at the register who was very stoic, bland, no personality, dark hair, not real tall And had the headset on her head if one egg covered the entire bagel to ensure I got egg with every bite. She again asked me if I wanted one or two eggs and I again asked the same question. Needless to say, I never got an answer to that question. The incompetency of not understanding a simple question and then not even looking at me continue to look down at the register and having the Personality that she did not give a damn about what the customer wanted was absolutely horrible. While we were waiting for our food, there was a young lady short dark hair. She had a hat on who was putting ice into the soda, machine and stuff. I believe she overheard me telling My Wife, that I was unhappy with the service And she asked us if we would like a water cup. She was also the same young lady that brought our food to us to go and she was absolutely very nice, courteous and pleasant. But the first one at the register with the red T-shirt longer darker hair headset on was not a good reputation of Customer...
