How does this place stay in business?! The only redeeming quality this place has is the view. I had a gift card, so my husband and I decided to use it toward a date night. When we arrived, we were seated promptly, but our server took several minutes to greet us and take our drink order. Our table wasn’t level, so it was constantly bouncing up and down. I ordered a French 75 and my husband had an old fashioned- both were average. It took at least 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our server didn’t ever come around to check on us or update us on the wait for our drinks. We had already put in our food order; which consisted of 4 rolls. During our long wait, we noticed the tables around us that were seated after us received their food. Half way through our wait time, our server came by after a long absence and informed us that sushi orders were running behind schedule and seemed apologetic but didn’t offer to make it right in any way. Meanwhile, the surrounding tables had already finished their food. It took an hour from when we were seated until our food arrived. Our rolls were so disappointing. They were warm, so everything fell apart when picked up with chopsticks. We ordered the high rollers combo and added a ginger roll. One of the rolls was drowned in sauce which made it that much more unappealing. Flavors of the rolls were underwhelming. We did not finish our food and only ate it because we were so hungry. Our bill was $119 without tip. Even with a $50 gift card, we paid almost $90 for absolute garbage. Don’t bother with this place; I’m pretty sure you can get better sushi at the...
Read moreMy husband & I had a terrible experience here. We actually don’t want to go to any Sushi in the Raw restaurant anymore. Not impressed at all. First off, we came in a little past 9pm, the place wasn’t packed at all. We placed our order around 9:20pm, were told it should take maybe 20 min to get our 4 rolls out. Well...only 55+ minutes later we get them! By the time we got our rolls it was so late to eat for us we were so disappointed. Had it not been for me craving sushi that night & all the other sushi places being closed we would have walked out.
When we told our waitress that the sushi is taking too long to be delivered, she had a bad attitude, didn’t even apologize but tried to correct us by telling us we had come in and ordered much later than we actually did! We even checked the time of the text that we received from a friend during the time that we ordered, & sure enough it was at least 55 minutes before we received our order.
To top this off, during that loooong wait our waitress didn’t check on us for quite some time.. maybe 20 minutes of us just sitting there without being checked on. That’s just unacceptable.
Lastly, the amount of actual meat inside the sushi rolls was so minuscule that it was ridiculous. I felt like I was mainly eating rice & veggies.. not worth my $$.
If you want the vibe & don’t care to have excellent customer service or fast delivery of food, maybe you’ll like your experience at In The...
Read moreMy husband and I went to In The Raw for my birhtday last night. I was in a dress and my husband was in a coat and tie. With 3 kids, normally our outings entail a drive through window. So this was suppose to be a real treat. The night turned out to be a disappointment. My husband cut his lip on a chipped water glass within the first 5 minutes. Overall the cut was not a big deal to my husband, but it was even less of a deal to the establishment. The waiter indicated that he let his manager know about it. I observed the manager chatting with other customers but he didn't bother to make it over to our table for almost an hour later when we were finished. The manager said he didn't have time to get to us sooner. He then offered my husband two of his business cards and said to call him if we needed anything. What an odd thing to do. The waiter was barely adequate and the food was average. My husband lived in Los Angeles for 10 years and he got better service and sushi at the supermarket. The tables are also very close together. In fact, because the tables were so close the waiter could pour water into our glasses while talking to the table next to us. While In The Raw may be the hot place in Tulsa, they would not last a month in Los Angeles. But if they continue treating customers like we were treated, In The Raw will not last in Tulsa either. We will...
