If I was only getting food for myself I would have walked out. The man working the till was talking on the phone when I got in line. When he finished with the customer in front of me he walked off into the kitchen and continued his phone call. So I stood there for a few minutes with nobody acknowledging me. When his phone call was done the cashier returned to the register but then helped a customer with a sandwich they had made incorrectly. Next he helped another customer who popped up who had forgotten to take their order number sign. And then he helped yet another customer with a different incorrect order.

I had been waiting at the register at this point for several minutes without a word from anyone, employees walking past and ignoring me. Mr phone call, who had helped 3 other customers that weren't even on line then turns to me with a scowl on his face and says "Alright, what can I get you?" giving off the vibe that I was inconveniencing him the whole time. 😠

I am a patient person who understands that things don't always run smoothly, people have bad days etc. This was beyond below average service though. If someone would have at least said something to me or at least said sorry for the wait I would have been mildly irritated for a minute and got over it. This man was just plain rude and it was clear he didn't give a sh#t about customer service. What's worse is that I believe this guy was a manager or maybe an owner. I'm sorry if you were having a bad day dude but that's not my problem!!!! This one will stick with me...

I really like the bagels here. Being from New Jersey and having lived in several places in the south, I had lost hope of ever finding real bagels again. Old School Bagel Cafe's bagels are for real. They make them the right way and they offer a wide variety of flavors, in addition to different kinds of sandwiches you can make with them. My biggest complaint is one I have previously discussed with management: there doesn't appear to be a system or order to how they bake their bagels. I have had many of their french toast bagels only to discover near my final bites a very strong and rank onion flavor. This is because they bake them in any order, and do not separate them properly, so there may be onion bagels baking very close to the french toast. Obviously I dislike onion flavor to begin with, but to add such a putrid flavor to something so sweet is adding insult to injury. Not only does the flavor immediately assault your taste buds, but you were expecting something sweet and delicious instead! If you guys are reading this, please change your baking procedure! Please! I love your bagels, but I've had to seriously cut back on ordering from you simply...

I gotta say I was very disappointed with my experience here. I wanted a good bagel since Einstein bros isn’t the same anymore and got rid of my favorite bagel. I went through the drive thru. I got the spinach parmesan and everything jalapeño. They didn’t have the everything bagel once I got to the window after saying they did. I decided to just remove it instead of choosing a different bagel. It was already $10 for 2 bagels with cream cheese. The refund was for $2.50. I tried telling the drive thru lady that the amount was wrong, but she rather try to explain it to me like I’m stupid instead of listening. When I opened the bagel I was a lil confused. I was expecting it to have Parmesan on the top at least. But nope it looked like a dark plain bagel with something inside. The bagel was very dense, as if it didn’t rise properly. It was very hard to eat. The cream cheese was the saving Grace. The garlic herb cream cheese is really...

I am originally from Long Island and NYC, and had been missing a real bagel place for a long time. This place fits the bill well. I was very happy to find that I could get a lox and cream cheese sandwich with onions and capers on a garlic bagel. It was very much like I would get when I lived on Staten Island. I was also happy to find lavender earl grey tea, which is my favorite. My only issue was when I was preparing the tea, the only hot water dispensers that I saw were located at the bottom of the coffee dispensers, not at the top, like one would normally expect. There was not enough room at the bottom of the dispenser for the cup and had to finagle the cup in order to brew my tea. That is a minor matter to me and I will definitely come back to try the other bagel sandwiches

Quick service bagel stop that’s good for breakfast and lunch. Came here with my friend on a Sunday around noon. There was a small line but it moved quickly. We got our to-go, and they just call out your name from the left hand side counter. Otherwise they give you a number and they’ll just find you wherever you’re sitting. The wasabi bomb on the everything bagel (toasted of course) was the bomb. It came with lox, cucumber, red onion, and a very generous amount of cream cheese. I also got a small hot chocolate which was too milky for my taste, but was still warm and comforting. Really good thing to have for brunch or when you want a heavy meal. We are ours right before going on a hike on turkey mountain so we were energized for the hike (yay for carboloading!).

First, New York Bagel is a bold name for a bagel restaurant and I believe a challenge to live up to that name. Coming from the most southern Burrough of New York, otherwise known as South Florida, I have had many New York bagels, and New York Bagel lives up to the name! With all that said… What?!? Wasabi Bomb Bagel?!? OMG! I had this sandwich for the very first time today; I can’t believe I have lived this long without having wasabi cream cheese. The Everything bagel was fresh (I don’t toast mine), loaded with fresh tomatoes, red onions, cucumber, and lots of lox! But the wasabi cream cheese!!! So yummy! P.S. I ordered it open face, and by the time I remembered about a review, I had already devoured the first half.
