This is such a fun little pub! We forgot we were in Tulsa, it's so authentic feeling. We've never been to England but it reminded us so much of our trip to Ireland. It's a very cozy atmosphere with lots of great places to sit. Parking is a bot scarce but we parked right out front on the street. I would not recommend parking at The Tulsa Birthing Center because that creates issues when ambulances need to access a birthing mother. We witnessed someone having to move their vehicle for this very reason. On to the food: We wanted to try the Crab dip but unfortunately they were out so we went with the spinach artichoke and it was really good! It wasn't our favorite that we've ever tried but it felt authentic and that was fun. We both ordered fish and chips cuz were fanatics lol and it was so good and crispy!! I loved the shape and flavor of the chips. Hubby absolutely fell in love with mushy peas in Ireland and was excited to see them as a side with the fish. He thought they were delicious. We both also really liked the HP brown sauce they sat on our table and were going to find where to get some! We also had a couple of our favorite beers a pour of Guiness and the White Lion Brown Ale from Cabin Boys. All in all it was a really great experience and we're glad we finally went. Oh they do recommend calling ahead for reservations for larger parties. For a party of 2 it a reservation wasn't required. We went around 630 on a Friday and...
ย ย ย Read moreI've been thinking about this place for a while. I finally had the opportunity to go with my son about 1 month ago. Had to make a reservation and was very excited to try it. We got seated by a mildly annoyed lady who gave us some dirty menus, but only after we were interrogated if we're sure we had a reservation because she was full and didn't expect us. Not a great start, but the place looked cool, and we decided to overlook it. The server was quick to take our order, but that was it, he seemed really consumed by a combination of a conversation with the bartender and his phone, had to ask for our drinks and some silverware several times. He brought the drinks about 20 minutes later and never brought the silverware. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and it was disgusting. I couldn't tell if that was traditional English food done well or this particular restaurant was just bad at cooking it, everything tasted bland and microwaved so we just ate what we could with our hands and a tea spoon that we shared and stopped by another place and got burgers afterward. Dinner was $80 that evening $60 including tip at White Lion and $20 for the burgers later. Decor was nice, with lots of potential, but poorly managed with disengaged staff. It was an underwhelming, below average experience. We will give English food another chance but probably won't go back to...
ย ย ย Read moreThe atmosphere is right on target but it's overpriced for what you get. We went there specifically for fish and chips. The size of the meal was on the small side. The kids' grilled cheese plates had way more chips than ours had. The 2 fish planks (the image of this dish that you see on Google shows you get 3) were also quite small and definitely had the taste of frozen-not-fresh. If the price were a little more than half I would have been happy with the price to food and quality ratio. I just would have expected freshly battered fish for the price we paid. There is no kids menu- you pay the adult price for their food and it's also on the small side. We all left a little hungry except our 3 year old. Nothing tasted bad, just not what one would expect...
