Each month my husband and I try something new, hibachi is not new as it’s my favorite however Osaka was new to us! We stopped in on a Sunday around 1pm with the expectation of a busy crowd. We were pleased to hear there was only a 5 min wait! We were sat quickly, and from the beginning the service wasn’t promising, we waited a while to get our drink orders taken, but we waited patiently. I was shocked to hear they didn’t have Dr. pepper, but maybe it was just they were out. Our orders were taken and some time went by and the soups and salad started to come out, by this time a lot of drinks were empty on the table and refills were not given. To touch more on the refills, they were finally offered as the to go boxes were being brought after our meal, we didn’t see our server to even be able to ask and the soup and salad bowls remained on the table our whole meal. You can tell through my photos the restaurant was not so busy they couldn’t refill drinks. Our cook came out and began to cook, he quickly noticed he was missing food for our table and repeatedly had to ask servers to help him out and go grab multiple items, some that weren’t received until the end of our meal like shrimp for example they only had the appetizer shrimp plated for him and he was missing steaks. As far as hibachi goes we have had some great cooks who are interactive and just make it an awesome time, and we’ve been to other places where they were terrible. For our cook at Osaka, he was.. okay. He was kind but not really interactive, he did the “Volcano” and that was the all of “the show” there was no tossing of egg or anything like you get most places and we even saw happening across the room at another table. However, I will say as far as food goes..Osaka is great!! I ordered the filet and shrimp and my husband ordered the chicken and steak, he did say the chicken was really dry, but I find that’s most always at a hibachi grill. Overall the restaurant was nice and clean (with the exception of the women’s bathroom, it needed a lot of attention when we were there). The food was fantastic and we would definitely go back again for another shot at better service! Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been coming to this location for about 6 years now. I usually come around 2:30-3:00pm. It's not busy the service is excellent and the hibachi chefs are full of life. However today I will say this place has disappointed me. My family and I do a secret santa gift exchange and decided to eat here as we have done in the past. We made reservations which when we arrived were informed we still had a 30min wait that turned into an 45mim wait after the scheduled time. The place was crowded and the usual great service I'm used to was out the window. I felt rushed and did not enjoy my time like I usually do. The food was prepared great like usual but the service was disappointing. After trying to speak with the owner and chasing him around the restaurant his response was," there is no time to argue". All it takes is one bad experience to turn one away and they have turned my family which comprises of 4 couples some with kids away. Next year we will be looking for another place that will honor reservations and knows how handle their customers properly.

Sushi for 24th Anniversary Dinner! The sushi rolls were some of the best we've ever had! They were so fresh and flavorful, with wonderful texture and variety. If you remember years ago, when Fuji Sushi Bar was top notch in town, this sushi was just as good! The sushi prices were surprisingly reasonable. Our waitress was timely, friendly, and answered all my questions. She knew exactly which rolls had raw fish when I asked her. She reminded us of a caring mom figure, which added to our wonderful experience. The atmosphere was clean, good lighting, pretty, and arranged well. I would have preferred a little less noise, but overall, it didn't detract too much from our experience. We'll definitely be back! P.S. If the restaurant is reading this, it would be awesome if you and other sushi restaurants had an alternative to soy sauce, for all your gluten free customers. Nowadays, you should be able to find gluten free soy sauce or even better, coconut aminos. Coconut aminos is gluten free and soy free. It's delicious with sushi! 🍣💖

We LOVE going to Osaka. It's my favorite joint and kiddo's favorite. We've been eating there since the first week I moved back. Love the food so much. The service ... Ehhhh

So tonight we decided to stop in and our server had the whole tapyinyaki table waiting for drinks or even a hello for over ten minutes. Ok fine. A little busy. We'll wait. No biggie.

We get our salads and soup before our drinks. The chef comes out and starts cooking. Finally get our drinks.

The chef, starts telling us how bad their servers are. That they work on shared tips so most don't care. That's nuts that he's telling us this. But ok, whatever. Yes, she kinda sucks. Well as soon as the chef is finished and we're all still eating, the server is already there handing out to-go boxes and giving people checks. Doesn't ask if we want dessert. Doesn't tell the rest of the table that ice cream is included in their dinner either. I'm thinking no big deal because I'm still eating my hot steak. She'll come back and check on us. She must have heard us tell others that ice cream is included because she brings us ice cream. While we're still eating dinner. So now I have to decide to eat my ice cream or my filet and scallops hot or eat my ice cream. Obviously I eat my filet.

So then I have to go find any server to ask for more boxes and sauce to go.

We're still eating slowly, enjoying our meal. She comes over and tells me I haven't paid my bill yet. I tell her I'm not done eating and we were doing to get dessert and an after dinner drink. She proceeds to tell me that no I'm not and I need to pay. I as kindly as I can, that I'm not paying until we're done. She then stands there and tells me she'll stand there until I pay!! Mind you, I waited tables and tended bar for almost 20 years. I refuse to be treated like that but I happily tell her if she brought the drink menu and dessert menu that we'd happily pay after we ordered what we wanted to finish out our meal. She tells me "no you won't. You'll pay now" and I tell her "you shouldn't speak to your customers like that" and she tells me she has somewhere to be and to pay now and that I shouldn't think like that. Whatever that means. She takes my card and leaves. We waited 15 minutes for her to return and she doesn't.

I try to go talk to a manger and she comes up and starts lying that we had no food left on our table and we were done with our drinks and that I was LYING and REFUSING to pay. She already had my card so how was I refusing!! She starts YELLING at me in front of the manager, who dies NOTHING except says sorry and then walks off and leaves me standing there with my mouth hanging open in awe.

As we go to leave, a large group is standing by the door complaining about how they had a whole tray of drinks split on them and then was told it was their fault. We happened to watch the entire thing and the poor girl wasn't even looking at the server who dropped it on her. They were then told by the manager that there was nothing she could do about it, didn't offer anything, charged them extra for a large group, didn't offer them the ice cream either and then, their words, "complained that they didn't tip more for a large group" even though they already got charged for the large group!!!

We won't be back needless to say. Such a shame. The food really is amazing and it's a great...

1 member of our party had to use the restroom right as we were being seated but the rest of us went and we’re sat and told the host how the bills would be split. After that 2 of the teenagers with us had to use the restroom real quick. The server comes and we have to explain a 2nd time how the bills would be split. In the middle of this without any warning a manager comes and turns the lights and hibachi off and claims our party wasn’t all in the restaurant so we couldn’t be served. We politely said we are all here and they had just went to the restroom. She replied people say that all the time and continues to close our table down. I had to sternly tell her the 2 were sitting in the seats right next to me and they just went to the bathroom she can ask the host who seated us. She then just turned and walked off(passing the ones who were in the bathroom as soon as she turned from the table). We were offered any apologies from anyone just given attitude. Everyone was already very irritated now before our experience could begin. The sever was very confused abut how to split the bills for some reason which wasn’t very complicated at all. He took drink orders and came back with drinks. The chef had made it to the table to start cooking and looked around and asked if we had been served salads and soups yet… we had not. He left the table and returned to start cooking and a few minutes later the soups and salads came. The chef had to stop cooking and move over so the server could hand them out. I still had not received my beer by the time food was being put on our plates. The chef was good and the food was delicious but we only had maybe 5 minutes after the chef left to eat before the server came with checks, to go boxes, and asked if we wanted ice cream. We asked if we could have time to finish eating before we could take checks and talk about desert. He left and came back with a pitcher of water and filled all the sprites at the table with water without asking if they had water. My wife excused herself to the restroom while he was getting checks and said they were super dirty with toilet paper and trash all over the place and the cabinet doors under the sinks were kicked in and just hanging by what screws were left holding it. Finally as the checks came my bill had an extra drink rang up which we didn’t have and had to have our bill corrected. We usually eat here several times a year as a treat or date night and haven’t had anything bad to say but tonight was horrible. Besides the chef the whole experience was the worst I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Management and serving staff will seriously have to do better especially getting argumentative right off hand instead of being inquisitive of what the...
