Ordered through grub hub and My driver was fantastic but the app did not give me the option to put in specifications for some reason. I guess it was a glitch. I called Ron's hamburgers to let them know the issue and that I was allergic to onions. The lady who answered the phone was rude and told me I should have put it in my order. That she didnt know how grubhub works and it wasnt her problem. Later I got a call from the driver who handed the phone to the waitress who was saying that they were out of something I ordered so while I was trying to ask my husband if there was something else he wanted, she told me she had "paying customers" and handed the phone back to the driver who was having problems with understanding/speaking clear english. Well last I knew I was a paying customer as well. She obviously didn't think so though because when he (the driver) tried to give the waitress back the phone, I got hung up on. I called the restaurant to try to get the problem taken care of and asked for a manager. She said said ok and put the phone down and then I heard her talking to the other waitress about me, cussing, calling me names, and saying it wasnt their issue and instead of getting back on the phone and talking to me, I got hung up on again. I called back and again asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one there and got hung up on a third time. I do not believe ANY customer should be treated this way and if it wasnt for me being sick, I would have went up to the restaurant and handled this in person. I DO PLAN ON CALLING A MANAGER AGAIN TOMORROW. What's sad is, if Ron was still alive, his customers would not have been treated this way. I eat at Ron's at 51st and Sheridan quite often and I also use GrubHub at least a few times a week due to my and my husband's work hours and to be treated this way is absolutely ridiculous. I will not be back or order from that location and I will make sure that every person I know, hears about this. It will be on Facebook and Google and anywhere else that does reviews. I have never been treated so bad by an...
Read moreCame in around lunch time and was stared at by 3 women just standing at the counter talking , looked me up and down until I realized I had to seat myself. A few minutes passed before someone asked if I and my husband were ready to order. Placed our order where my husband got probably one of the worst frito pies you could get. He put it aside and ate the fries that we ordered to share. I purchased a limeade which was a Shirley temple and his Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea to which he received just unsweetened tea. With only my meal half eaten, his 95% full and both our drinks still full the manager came by just to drop off our check, didn’t even make eye contact with either one of us. When he went to pay not once did she ask how everything was and still no greeting. We paid and as we walked out once again didn’t even bother to look at us, make contact of any kind or even say good bye. The place was not packed and had enough staff on duty to have 3 standing when we first entered to stand around and talk. A hello would have been just fine when we walked in ( since I was there long enough not realizing we could Seat ourselves) and when you leave a ticket by a full plate you would have thought that it warranted some sort of question. Lastly, a good bye on our way out I guess was too much for her even though she was just standing there, watching us as we left. I rarely leave reviews and only do when treated like this or when people are just awesome at an establishment we enter. I will never come back to this specific location and will make sure to warn anyone before doing so. If you want good food and good service hit up either the mingo location or the Harvard location, made a mistake and ruined my lunchtime by coming to this...
Read moreLet me start with I love Ron's burgers. The food was delicious as it always it. My low rating is due to the customer service I received. I ordered at 12:11, said the order should be ready between 12:35 - 12:40. I clock out for lunch and get there a couple of minutes before 12:35. After they ask if I'm getting a pickup order, she goes and checks and comes back and tells me the order is just now going on and walks off. So when another comes near me, I ask her about the notification that my order is ready. She says we are really busy and don't control the tablet and walks off. I'm not sure what that means other than I'm guessing the tablet just randomly tells people their order is ready. I finally get my food and ask for a couple of mustard packets. She gets them and tosses them in my bag, and walks off. I get busy, and I don't mind waiting a few to get my food, but you can at least have good customer service and watch your attitude/ tone when speaking with customers. Every one of those ladies who were forced to speak to me made me feel like ordering there and picking up was a bother to them. No, thank you, no sorry for your wait, no smile, no nothing. They only spoke to me when they absolutely had to. I love Ron's and will go back to other locations, but not this...
