Freeze — Restaurant in Tunkhannock Township

I don’t leave reviews but what we experienced was a little concerning. We stopped here to get some ice cream on our way home and as we were reading the menu a young man came out and started spraying Raid bug killer right by the delivery window. The most concerning part of this was there was a woman with her child and their food right there AND their food was on the counter as this young man sprayed. It was windy with the chemicals going everywhere. It was also clear this young man was likely on the spectrum. Other employees sat inside and didn’t give assistance or direction to better help this young man do his job without endangering himself or others with very toxic chemicals. We don't know how the ice cream is as we left as the young man began to spray upwind of where we were.

If the owner reads this your employees need to do better and extend some courtesy to one another and...

The best thing in the world is taking an evening drive with the wife and a few of the grandkids down to "THE FREEZ". They are young enough to climb around on the playground Monster Truck with the wife watching while I get the Ice Cream. My favorite is the Hot Fudge Sunday with Chocolate ice cream. The wife loves the Peanut Butter Sunday, they have a ton of flavors to choose from. They also have several picnic tables where the little ones can sit and eat their ice cream. Last year 2 of the grand kids asked if we could go to The Freez when they came over for Thanksgiving and they were surprised and sad that it was closed. Whether you have little ones or you just like a great Sunday for a great price you should stop down and enjoy them...

Ordered the “strawberry” ice cream for our son and he said it tasted bad. Tasted it myself and it was definitely off. I asked the girl if it was strawberry and she said “yes” and showed me the old bottle of syrup she used to flavor the vanilla ice cream. I told her that it tasted off, like plastic bubblegum or something, and asked if he could just have vanilla. She refused to replace the original because she said she “didn’t make it wrong”. Lol. I told her she should get rid of the syrup because it definitely wasn’t good—should’ve looked at the expiration date on it. Won’t...
