Drove in, told them I wanted a synthetic blend oil change. The manager told me I had to use a full synthetic oil. I explained I change my oil every two months because I do a lot of highway travels. She flat told me she couldn't use a blend and had to use full synthetic. I explained I have been using a blended oil since I drove it off the showroom floor. She told me if I didn't use a full synthetic oil she would have to file a CarFax report on my vehicle. I'm calling BS. I called the dealer I usually take it to and they said she was 100% wrong. Wow. I don't know where to begin. I called Valvoline's main number and got a price for changing my daughters Nissan Rogue with Synthetic Blend. He said he would email me a coupon and the cost would be $64.95. My wife took the car there and they stated it would be $80 (And they have no synthetic blend in stock). I was on the phone with my wife when she said we were told it was $64.95. The lady told her it was $80 because of tax. Now that is pretty poor math. Last time I checked $64.95 + 6% tax equals $68.85. This place is a joke. They offered to bump us to full synthetic for $97 (If I ran an oil business and did not have the correct oil I would bump you to the next grade and discount it heavily for me not having the oil like they should).
