I doubt the "owners" will read this, but if they do I would love an honest answer of why you felt the need to do what you have done. You never had anything to do with the restaurant before your mom got sick. Suddenly what has worked for 50 years needed to be changed? Suddenly the management that has been there for decades needed to be let go or run off. Many of us worked there through high school and college and some of us even met our future husbands and wives there. I would like to see you address these issues on the North MS Restaurant Review page on FB because your motives appear to be pure greed to many of us. A man dedicates his whole life to a job, and then once you come into the picture he isn't needed? The food products that people have enjoyed for years get changed. Now the story is out there that a dietitian is being consulted. Really? Why? It's fast food. When I did eat there(before the disaster that is you)I would get a Reuben or bacon cheeseburger because it tasted amazing; not because I wanted a dietitian's input on the nutritional value of the food. Greed is a hell of a thing and it brings out the worst in humanity. It would be beautiful to see you do the right thing for the restaurant, but money is the code you live by. Congrats for single handedly destroying an amazing place in the...
Read moreI’ve enjoyed Danvers all of my life. I take pride in Tupelo having Danvers. My co-workers and I usually get our food to go at least once a month. Today, however, I had one of the most unpleasant experiences from there. My co-worker called in her food and “Casey” was rude to her and told her she could’ve just ordered through the drive through. (I was going in to make my salad myself so there was no need for the drive through). I got there and when I walked up to place & pick up my order - “Casey” told me I had to walk into the kitchen by the window and pick up and pay for my food. I tried to explain I needed to add onto my order but she walked away. I paid, standing in the kitchen feeling uncomfortable, and I went to make my salad. (They still did not hand me my food). After making my salad , I walked back up and Donna got my food from the kitchen, gave me a bag to put all of the food in, and smiled. (Thank you Donna). After getting to work, my co-workers food is the exact opposite of what she ordered. Very, very...
Read moreI ate at the Danver's location in Oxford MANY times over the years and then I ate at this Tupelo location a few times. Danvers is well noted for their burgers and the nice salad bar. So the way things work here is when you order a burger you get to take it over to the salad bar and add whatever you want from the salad bar as part of your burger. The Danver's burger and salad bar combo accounted for a great deal of my vegetable intake during my college years! They also have been noted for their roast beef sandwich and all the rest of the food I've eaten here has always been good. This has always been an above average fast food joint but it is still fast food so manage your expectations while at the same time it is better than the vast majority of other fast food options. The ambiance in here has always been a very different and more pleasant one that the rest of the current day fast food options. Overall I wish they still had a location in...
